Acid almost got kicked out from the mother chapter 5 years ago when he decided to hit on Katie, Tank's daughter, in a not so nice way. After Beast beat him up and they found out why he acted the way he did, they decided to let him stay as a prospect to earn their trust again.
Now, he's a trusted member and a patched Enforcer. Dealing with his alcoholic, junkie mom and trying to keep her alive still affects him, but he's learned his lesson and tries not to take it out on other people, especially the other members and their family.
When Bear's sister and niece move to town, Acid tries his best to behave. Bear's niece, Juniper, is a ray of sunshine who always sees the best in people, but she lacks some social skills. She doesn't understand that not everyone is nice, and that some pretend to be just to take advantage of her. Her naivety makes Acid annoyed as hell, especially when he has to step in and save her from fuckboys at college. She's also made it her mission to make him smile and be happy, and she doesn't budge even when he tries to push her away.
I wanted to really like this book and I did love Acid but god Juniper 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I just couldn’t with her about 1/2 way through I skimmed the rest…if she called I’m “cutie” one more time. I get she was home schooled and naive but lord almighty she was too much…I didn’t like her just too much…3 stars for Acid himself and finding love and some parts between secondary characters and what not were funny.
