There are those who would love to see you fall. Mika’s family is well loved and liked so with him being King, there are those who would love to see the downfall of the Nuñez family. Every four years, a sovereign hosts a festival where young vampire match with another prominent family. This year it’s Mika’s turn to host. As the King of the America and one of the only unmated Kings, he isn’t looking forward to these four years. With the help of his Second, Lucien, he feels confident that he will finally show the others that he is capable of ruling. What he isn’t prepared for is one of the teachers that come with the young. She captures his eye right away and he feels this pull towards her that makes him question it all. Would he give up everything for a woman he barely knows or will he choose his Kingdom?
Some are praying for his downfall while others depend on him continuing to rule. Mika has a choice and whatever he decides could change his life forever.
Tamara did an amazing job of giving a soulless Vampire a soul. Mika did what was expected of him as a King and the only thing he wanted in return, Abigail. They had to hide their love and share themselves with others it was a lot and too much for Abigail to take. This story was also about Mika’s right hand Lucien who was in love with a maid however the rules that applied for Mike applied to him. This is a story of classism attempting to destroy love. Who will be victorious? Read Mika to find out!

Tamara never disappoints me she delivers stories that pull you in from the first sentence and hold you captive. Mika will have you thinking about it for weeks after you finish. Without giving away any spoilers I loved the twist and turns that Tamara wrote and let's talk spice because this woman opened the cabinet bypassed the basic spice and threw them all in this book 10/10 recommend this book.
Tamara did an amazing job. I was at the edge of my sit throughout the book. Bearly finished reading one chapter and already ready for the next. Her portrayal of both Mika and Abigail was enchanting. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
