A Collection of Hunters #3

Hunting for Acceptance

Rate this book
Realizing ‘the bad guy’ is actually their true mate was NOT part of the plan. Martin knows he’s closed off. It’s easier to keep himself from getting hurt if he keeps everyone at arm’s length, but meeting a beautiful blue-haired man during a hunt changes everything. Dorian’s entire world turns upside down when he meets two handsome hunters who are hot on his heels. He doesn’t want to be the bad guy, but he’s found himself in a sticky situation that he can’t get out of without a little help. Despite Martin’s cold exterior, Cooper knows there’s more to him than his muscles and sarcasm. He patiently waits for Martin’s walls to come down, and to his surprise, meeting Dorian is the thing that brings them down. Confessions of true mates and scary first kisses bring them together. Now they just have to figure out how to save Dorian from the circumstances he’s found himself in. Hunting for Acceptance is book three in A Collection of Hunters. Though this book is a standone, this series is best enjoyed read in order. This MMM story features overcoming one's guilt over things they can’t control, a siren falling for a couple of hunters, bathtub shenanigans, found family, mpreg, and of course, a happily ever after.

Toby Wise is a stay at home parent who hails from a tiny town in Wisconsin. Contrary to popular Wisconsin stereotypes, he’s not a cheese-head who enjoys beer but rather an introvert who spends all his time on the internet, drinking coffee, spending time with his kid, and cooing about his adorable cat, Pikachu.

In April of 2019, A Collection of Strays was born after the world of fanfiction drew him back into his love of writing. Now he’s writing all things omegaverse as long as it includes silly moments and found family.

Another adorable book from Toby Wise. I am loving that they added a poly book to this series. Dorian, Martin and Cooper were just the perfect balance for one another.

Martin and Cooper kept circling around one another, neither one wanting to make any move. Martin had so many walls around him. It takes Dorian’s outgoing and adorable personality to bring them together. I loved everything about the siren, Dorian. He had this lovable mix of vulnerability and steel woven throughout that made for a perfect third for Martin and Cooper.

The story was sweet; the throuple was even sweeter. I cannot wait to read about Carlos and his familiar, Jude.

Toby Wise is so great at writing such a wonderful story that manages to develop the plot and relationships within a short story.
Martin and Cooper have had quite an angsty friendship across the series so far, it helps to read at least book two to feel the tension between them. Their search for answers in a case they're working brings Dorian into their world and it has very unexpected consequences. Dorian is in need of help to get out of a situation and having Martin, Cooper and the rest of their gang helping gives him peace of mind for the first time in months.
When it comes to their relationship, it seems like Dorian was necessary for walls to be dropped and words to be heard between all three men. It's quick, heated and so sweet. It's easy to feel their connection and I enjoyed how the story built up and progressed for them. We also have a little bit of time spent with the rest of the hunting crew, for support and also a bit of fun at the end where were left with a perfect tease for the next book!
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Hunting for Acceptance is the fourth book in the A Collection of Hunters series. I’d recommend reading the series in order to get the most enjoyment out of it. Martin and Cooper kind of dance around each other. But when Dorian is introduced to the mix, they become complete. I absolutely loved Martin, Cooper and Dorian. I only wish was that it was a little longer to give us more character depth. With that being said, the story and the characters worked! Hunting for Acceptance is well written with fast pacing.

This is a paranormal queer romance, the third book in the series which must be read in order! Cooper, Martin and Dorian are so sweet together and I loved the story bringing them together! The story left on an exciting cliffhanger leading to the next book which I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

Lady Fate, if you’re listening in, please make those two fuck their feelings out. Amen. - Dorian

Main Character Information:
Dorian: Siren
Martin: Human, Hunter
Cooper: Human/Spark, Hunter

Stuff I Want To Mention:
I feel like MMM+ stories are VERY hard to get good with so few pages. I did like the characters and understand why Martin and Cooper could not be until they found their missing piece. I wish we had more intimate moments between the three, there is sooooo much you can do and experiment with when 3 are involved but sadly the story is too short. I enjoy having such diverse characters species wise and enjoyed this story.

Hunting for Magic, #4: Rating: 1/5

It can be safely assumed all of my reviews are from books that are 1st Person, have a HEA, and have no intimate or spicy scenes with anyone/thing other than MC(s). I try to rate books objectively if they have something I don’t typically like (i.e. Break Ups, SA, 3rd Person, Single POV, Sharing Partners). If it’s still written well the author deserves the praise but I will make note to avoid for myself in the future. I do my best to mark different triggers/warnings as well as the intimate acts performed in case anything listed/done might not be something you would want to read. If M/M, Age Play, Interspecies, Insta Love, Erotica, MPreg, or Incest are something you actively avoid, you are probably better off avoiding most of the books I review.

DNF: Something off, couldn’t finish because of it.
1 Star: No, thanks. Something super wrong.
2 Stars: Oh that was something but it was not something for me.
3 Stars: Decent, some things didn’t sit or read right but it was worth the effort.
4 Stars: Really enjoyed it, might read again even.
5 Stars: Super duper enjoyed, written well and read well.

This was another shorter-sweet story from Toby Wise in the Collection of Hunters Series. We have been watching Martin and Cooper dancing around their feelings for each other in the previous books in the series and in Hunting for Acceptance we finally get them admit their feelings when a third player is brought into the situation. Dorian has been put in a no win situation and needs the help of Martin, Cooper and the rest of the crew to find his way out. The pull between the three men is too much for them to resist and they all find comfort in what each brings to the relationship. I really enjoy the books in this series because they are well written, full of both humor and emotion but not a huge time commitment to read. They are longer than a novella but not quite full length novel and sometimes that is just what hits the spot. If you want a read that is just going to make you happy and smile as people find the person or persons that they are meant to be with for the rest of their lives then this series and this author are for you.

3.5 rounded up to a 4.

I have really enjoyed the other books in A Collection of Hunters series, however, I feel like this one progressed too fast. I feel as though if it was longer and more drawn out that it would've drawn me in more.

This was really well written and I like the plotline that flows between all of the books, I love seeing glimpses of the other hunters. Martin, Cooper, Dorian were really well written, I just felt like something was lacking due to the story moving so quickly. But I still really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to see what happens with Cooper now that he has a familiar.

I recommend reading this whole series for maximum enjoyment. I'm looking forward to reading about how Carlos is going to woo his mate.

Just as sweet and fluffy as I've come to expect from this series. There was always some tension between Cooper and Martin, all they needed was Dorian to complete their triad and let them be open to the feelings they have for one another! Each partner complimented the other two perfectly and there were such lovely found family feels with the whole crew. I did sometimes feel like the triad didn't come off as completely equal, but maybe that was just my read on things. While I love how Toby writes these short quick sweet reads, I feel like this one could've been a little longer to give all 3 an equal amount of page time. Either way, I enjoyed it and am incredibly excited for Carlos's story!

This is the first book that I have read by this author. I unfortunately didn’t read the first two books in the series but I will go back and read them. It starts with Dorian going to a bar and meeting someone. Martin and Cooper are hunters and they are on a case. When they went to the same bar, Dorian is there and starts talking to Martin. He ignores what Dorian is asking for. Turns out that Dorian is a siren who is being blackmailed. Martin and Cooper help him as Dorian realizes they are his mates. This is a sweet novella with low angst, high heat with three men building a relationship. Loved it.

I received a copy of this book for my review.

Hunting for Acceptance is Book 3 in A Collection of Hunters series. This is a wonderfully written story about fated mates and found family. Cooper and Martin have been dancing around each other and it took Dorian coming into the mix for them to finally give into their feelings for each other. I enjoyed Cooper, Martin, and Dorian together. They are so sweet and steamy. This is a quick read and though this book can be enjoyed on its own it's best read with the series. I can't wait for the next book and for Carlos to get his happy ending. I recommend this book and series.

Cute sweet story. Fluffy, lovingly.

Contains: MMM, siren, sparks, human(?), mpreg.

Dive in a world where hunting supernatural are a thing and they are the right crew for that mystery. When the mystery leads them to the siren, the two idiots will let their guard down around their hearts and confirm all the love they have for each other, but also for their siren. They will make room in their hearts and their team to welcome this unexpected addition. Insta-love, the siren make these two finally indulge in their feelings instead of bickering. Fine line between hate and love right. They will do everything to give their siren the freedom he deserved.

This is not a standalone. Please read the first 2 books. They are great as well, so you won't be sorry.
We met Martin and Cooper in Hunting for Redemption, and it was readily apparent that there was so much chemistry between them. When they finally find the one that completes them, the chemistry turns incendiary. The world-building continues in every book, as we meet new characters and species. The suspense in each book is great, and the overarching storyline is easy to follow. A thoroughly enjoyable series, and I am very much looking forward to the next book.

Two hunters and a siren walk into a bar... no... really... they do!

I love Lady Fate. This book has Her matching two hunters, who haven't admitted their love, with a siren who is their prey. But there is more to their prey than meets the eye. This story has it all: blackmail, found family, heat sex, an evil Djinn, an adorable baby, and true love. Personally, I love triads. Watching these three come together touched my heart. I am sure they will win you over as well. You need to get this book!

I just can't get enough of these hunters. Honestly, my only problem with this book was that it was not longer.
From the first time we meet Martin and Cooper, it is almost painfully awkward to watch them together. They so need each other and they just can't get it together. When Dorian finds them, he brings that spark to life. And the three of them burn up the pages from there, with some sweetness added in.
Lots of fun and the teaser for the next book is totally cute!

I'm in love with this series! This is the 3rd book in Toby Wise latest series! This is Martin, Cooper, Dorian story! I loved it from the beginning until the very end. I do wish these stories were longer. I have enjoyed all of the books in this series and I also recommend that you read all of the books in this series! You will not be disappointed! I read an advanced copy of this book and this is my unbiased review!

It was okay

I’m not sure why by these three just did not do it for me. I think I would have preferred if Martin and Cooper were just a couple because Dorian just didn’t fit in my opinion. The whole time I read this I was just tense and waiting for a fallout. I don’t know. I liked the first two books well enough but this one was not it. I think I’ll pass on the next book as well.

Hunting for Acceptance is a very sweet novella in the collection of hunters series.
Each of these can be read as a standalone but I feel like you get a better reading experience with reading them all.
This one is MMM and I really enjoyed how Lady Fate worked here.
The story with Dorian ended quickly making way for the mates to bond.
I liked the introduction of the next book at the end

OMG! Martin, Cooper and Dorian are hot. This book was Fantastic,  Exceptionally well written and developed.  Toby Wise does not disappoint. The flirting that went on between Martin and Cooper was very innocent until Dorian brought them together. This book radiates all the feels.

Short and so very sweet

Have been loving this series with found family in its heart. Watching each one of them find their special or someone or in this case someones has been great. Great sneak peek for the next one in the series at the end.

Adorableness continues

I don't know how to describe but this series, even with the sexy bits, is so fucking cute. Each story is perfectly balanced, not to long not to short. Honestly it's just really fun and feel good.

Who doesn’t love a bad guy with good intentions!?! I loved the characters and the continuation of found family. The easy acceptance of each other and their flaws is beautifully done.

Super cute!

I’ve been excited for Martin and Cooper’s book since the prequel. Their story was definitely just as good as I’d hoped. Martin, Cooper and Dorian are a great mix. They each have something special that helps bring them together. Dorian had had such a rough time of it but he was still able to see that his mates were a blessing - even though he’d been through so much he was the missing piece to be able to help Martin and Cooper together. The way the whole crew came together to welcome Dorian was very sweet. The found family feels were lovely. It’s a big reason I love Toby’s books; you always know the characters are going to have the support and love of their found family. I’m super excited for Carlos’ book but I can’t believe it’s the last book of the series! I’m hoping there will be room for more books in this world, but in the meantime I’m really enjoying these sweet guys!

Martin and Cooper were adorable as they tippy toed around each other. It took Dorian to come into their lives, to finally bring them together. The shy glances and all that blushing left me smiling like a loon. These three were beautiful and I loved the sizzling hot chemistry burning between them, just waiting to explode.

Looking forward to Carlos and Jude’s story.
