I am quite impressed with this book. Not suprised but impressed. Paul described so well Croatian habbits and culture within 20 stories from his 20 years of life in “surviaval” mode in Croatia. I believe that it will be very useful survival kit for forigners, but very useful for locals as well. To better realise heaven they live in.
Because, as author well said: Croatia is little like malaria - once you are infected, it is in your blood, and you never quite recover from it!
I enjoyed reading about Croatian mentality and lifestyle from a "foreigner" who really gets us. :) The book is funny, interesting, easy to read, very informative and it makes you think about things and activities that you take for granted. Having someone else's point of view really makes a difference. I would recommend it not only to foreigners, but also to Croatians and diaspora members aspiring to learn more about Croatian culture.
