Steps to avoid the slippery slope

Steve Hay accurately and effectively the nail on the head when he speaks of how easily and nearly seamlessly one can slide away from the faith commitment of one's youth when the freedom of college or career open up after high school. The book pulls no punches and the author is honest from the start about his own struggles with keeping Christian as a college student. His use of six clear steps is great, and his reforcement of the need for each of those steps through the use of life stories is commendable. His own story near the end also serves to reinforce his points. I wish I had had such a book/resource as this when I headed off to college searching for truth and slipping away from my faith.

I was surprised by how much I needed to read this book.

While Keeping Christian is ideal for a young adult with many new freedoms, I found it very helpful to me (a very mature adult). I realized how much potential I have for spiritual growth if i apply some of the very specific guidance this book offers. What a great gift for a young person!
