Essential

I highly recommend that every woman read this book for a better understanding of your digestive tract and all of the aspects of your life that are linked to it. It is written and very clear, concise language. I found myself taking notes because there is so much crucial information that I need to remember. I decided to go ahead and purchase the book, since I only read it on Kindle unlimited. The author truly did her research, and I will be referring back to this text for quite some time.

professional and well put together

As a woman who has struggled with gut health, my Entire life, seeing another one of these books out there is refreshing. A lot of them have the same information, which is actually a good thing because you know people are actually seeing major results from this. I’ve read a couple books in this realm, such as Eat More Dirt, or the Body Ecology Diet, and this one has a lot of helpful concepts as well that go in line with what they teach. Those are the books that got me eating, sauerkraut, and bovine collagen on a daily basis.

This one was a little more all encompassing though, because I really appreciated what she says about reducing stress. This year I also read the book Overcoming Chronic Through Yoga, by Qatarina Wanders that took an all encompassing viewpoint on gut health as well. Super important for women, because our society teaches us to fill our bodies with chemicals and diet pills. This causes a whole slew of other problems, which it certainly did for me.

I would love to see Bloom and Wanders write a book together. It would be gold.

Great book, highly recommend

I thought this was a great read.
Very 'body' educational, with a focus on getting your gut healthy so that you can experience an all over increase in health.
In the end I got a notebook and pen because there is just too much to remember.
Jam packed with information and suggestions to having a healthier gut.
I will definitely be taking the authors slow and gentle steps that she suggests for a healthier me! Really great book.

A personal guide

I bought this because I have IBS issues and searched everywhere to find the answer to my problem. The author of the book went through a similar personal journey in gut health to me. This book offers practical tips on focusing on your health in all the various aspects such as nutrition, sleep, sleep management etc. Loved the healthy food cheat sheet and easy meal plan at the end too

This may be good information from someone who isn’t at all familiar with how to properly eat, but I was hoping for something a little more substantiated. I also didn’t care for the author’s style of writing but that’s just personal preference.

This book was way too basic for me. Unfortunately everything I read was either common sense or other general info that can be found on the internet regarding GI issues.
