Awesome Book

I read this in JR High or HS after seeing the movie. It was a bit different but Segal developed Henry Steele's parents in the 1st few chapters so you understand the character's problems in college a bit more than in the movie.

I give it 3 stars because some of it stuck with me over the years but I was too young to understand if it was good writing or not.

I just remember the character played by Segal's son Robby Benson telling the coach to shove a list up his arse with a red hot poker.
