The start of a new arc! There was a lot of character development, but not a whole lot of buildup for the current arc. I'm intrigued how this arc is going to shape up.

September 16, 2025I just finished binging the 3 anime seasons, and I did not want to let go of the characters just yet. This volume picks up just after the events of Priestella.
It's actually my first time reading a Light Novel, and I believe I picked the official english translation. However, I did not expect the reading experience to be as laborious as it was. I don't know if it's due to the translation - I think the choice made here is to stay close to the original writing - but it was not a smooth read. Flat dialogues, telling (a lot of it) instead of showing, and just plain weird phrase constructions (for an english-speaker). For example, it is stated /after/ a dialogue which character was actually speaking and their tone, instead of being included /inside/ the line of dialogue (I don't know if I'm making sense here). It is probably japanese's style of writing, but it did feel jarring to me.
I was expecting better, especially as this one of the more well-known series out there, praised specifically for its character writing (which does translate great in the anime imo).
As for the actual content, I'm glad to have more Natsuki Subaru, I liked having more access to his thoughts . Emilia did feel flatter than in anime-version, her seiyuu truly adds personality to her character.

Um introdução absurda o arco 6, com um aspecto de aventura muito maior que os anteriores, já que os personagens estão em terras completamente estranhas a eles. Senti bastante inspiração de Duna aqui, tendo até minhocas gigantes kkkkkkkk mas funcionou no contexto.
Esse volume apresenta uma das cenas mais viscerais e desconfortáveis de todos os volumes até agora (não vou entrar em detalhes pq seria spoiler) e teve um bom desenvolvimento de personagem, principalmente com o Subaru e o Julius.
Continuo não gostando mt da Ram, acho ela desnecessariamente irritante, ainda mais no contexto que eles estão, mas enfim, nada que atrapalhe.
A narrativa principal do volume finaliza muito bem, me deixando curioso para o desenrolar desse arco, que já começou MUITO promissor.
Por fim, falarei do interlúdio final, focado no Garfiel e na Mimi. Ele começou meio chato, mas resultou em uma cena bem bonitinha de desenvolvimento do Garfiel. Tenho que admitir que achei meio longo demais (não precisava ter mais de 50 páginas pra isso), e foi um pouco destoante do resto do livro.

An OK start to the new arc!
Seeing how long this series is getting I was worried it would eventually lose itself but I am enjoying seeing new areas like the Dunes and so far I don't think it has lost itself yet and it doesn't feel like its dragging along either.
Some of the parts definitely didn't pull its punches either.
I am looking forward to the rest of this arc and where it ends up!
A tower of sorts is a pretty commen anime trope so it'll be interesting to see how it adds to this.

Tengo miedo y a la vez estoy emocionada de poder empezar el arco que dicen que es el mejor de todos. El empiece ha sido bastante bueno, más teniendo en cuenta que hay alguna cosa que no es como estamos acostumbrados.
Hay un dibujo en específico de Otsuka en específico que me tiene maravillada, porque normalmente con ver las imágenes sueltas por Internet te llevas el spoiler pero, con ESA en concreto si no tienes el contexto no sabes que esta pasando. Que por cierto, que mal cuerpo se me puso en esa parte en específico (a ver como animan esa parte porque es bastante hardcore)

Solid start to a new arc. This volume returns several characters that we haven't seen in awhile and the action contains some dramatic ups and downs. Also, Subaru seems to be getting really popular with the ladies.

This was really good honestly strongest start to an arc so far bar maybe arc 4 I really enjoyed the more ominous tone of a lot of the loops in this one and the Garfiel Interlude at the end was so sweet and I’m glad he is continuing to move forward. Really good volume can’t wait to continue.

This is a decent start to a new arc, as Subaru and a pretty mixed up party set off to find a cure for Rem, Julius, and the other victims of the witch's cult. As there are a few different motivations, secrets and mistrust between various characters, it will be interesting to see how this group works moving forward.
A lot of this book focuses on getting everyone to the tower, with most of the action towards the end of the volume.

Pretty fun, some great tense moments and character stuff, really enjoyed the last chapter with Garfield specifically.

This book was an amazing startup to a new arc. The story was adventurous, thrilling and very mysterious in this one. It made me feel a vast broad of emotions from happiness to disgust. Which I think is a hard thing to attain. It was able to make me so curious that I just had to read one more chapter, one more chapter than one more chapter- until I realised my book has already ended.
It also finished in a surprising, unexpected way. Can’t wait to read the next book.

my favourite start to an arc by far. it had everything from great fights and it concluded its main mission very fast which makes you wonder how the story will progress
