The Wrong/Right Men

Rate this book

1.5 ⭐️ - All for the effort it took to write it.

Should be titled “The very wrong, hell no man”.

The male MC is psychotic. Yes by the end of the book he was made to look like such a sweet guy who got the girl and lived happy ever after. But it feels wrong on so many levels to paint such a relationship and stamp a happy ending on it like it’s the most natural of circumstances.

This was so bad it’s funny. I’m dead serious when I say that if this was to be taken as a parody of NA romance books it would get 5 stars.

Let’s talk about the cliches:

- Hot, rich, CEO who turnes out to be her boss. Hmm, where have I seen that before?

- Heroine, is this guillable, fake-tough girl, who is kind of a genius at her job, it just takes him to notice it.

- She pretends to be bothered by stuff he does but ends up on her knees all the same, cause he is so hot and they have such a connection! I mean, Ted Bundy was hot and those girls he killed probably thought they had a connection too before they figured they weren’t going to have a picket fence, but a casket. (I know, dark, but true all the same).

- If I hear her say “Ugh, it’s because you’re a CEO”, “Being a CEO ...” “He’s a CEO..” We get it, he is a freaking CEO.

When I read the synopsis, I thought it sounded like such a brilliant meet-cute for our MCs and I was anxious to see how it would progress.

Let me tell you, there was nothing cute about this or him. He was hella scary! Borderline psychotic! Listen, I can handle all that if I’m reading a mafia/criminals type of story, it would make sense for a guy to be a little over the top considering all the dangers and so on.. Here the biggest danger was himself.

I’ve kept a list of all the a scary shit Braxton does:

- He lies to her and pretends to be her date, cute right?! Hmm, not when he decides to go all the way and bang her under false pretences. I think at that point he should have come clean..but no, he chose to get laid instead. Morality 0- Braxton 1

- He turns out to be her boss which he figured out an hour into their date. Not ok dude. Give the girl a chance to know the truth and make her own decisions. It was very sleazy to do that to her considering the implications it would have for her.

- Now we are getting to the good stuff: at work he tells her boss to transfer her onto a different department. She applied to be a broadcast journalist, and the dude is transferring her to marketing, when she confronted him, he says that he looked her up and he knows she’d like that better?! Control freak! What the freaking duck?! Are we back in the 50’s?!

- He gives her a tracking watch, the one that’s connected to her phone and borderlines threatens her to wear it so he can monitor her location, calls and such stuff.

- That evening when she gets home guess who is in her apartment waiting for her like the freaking stalker that he is?!? Fucking Braxton... such a douche name btw. And OMG, he downloaded her digital information, everything on her phone, including her key app for her flat. The dude is keeping track of her emails, texts, calls, everything, within a few days of meeting her.

- Her reactions to the stuff he does are always so mild and so pathetic. Like grow a backbone lady, have you read a psychological thriller, a murder mystery or a stalker type book? Any one of those will do as a point of reference. Her reply is always: “I really don’t like you” - read that in a whiny, annoying, fake-frustrated voice and you probably got it right. But no worries, she made him promise to loosen up and now everything is perfect.

- Her brother likes him even after learning of all he did. Yeah, I’m gonna pass on that bit of convenient writing for the plot that does not make sense for anyone sane, it’s just getting more ridiculous by the minute. A normal brother wouldn’t let her near that man again, in the real world your brother goes to the police and gets you a restraining order.

- I think ultimately, the worst thing is, a lot of the things that he did which made him look crazy, had no relevance to the overall story. There was a lot of useless back and forth that only served to further paint him as unstable.

Some quotes from yours truly: (some might be slightly spoilery, skip if you don't wanna see that.)

“What do you want from me?”
“A chance,” he says easily as his thumb runs along the edge of my bottom lip. My eyes slide to half-mast and I lean into his touch.
“You can’t deny our connection.”

You had sex, that was the only fucking connection! Pun totally intended.

“I linked your digital information with mine.”
My nose scrunches. “And what does that mean?”
“It means all the information you have on your phone is now linked with mine, including the app to get into your apartment.”
...rub my forehead. “I slept with an insane person."

Yeah, you sound really heartbroken about it..

“I’m not some spoiled brat who’s used to getting their way, Dakota. I’m a man who knows what he wants. And when I find something I want, I go after it until it belongs to me.”

Could have fooled me. Hollywood is waiting, American Psycho!

This whole book was like a train-wreck. You can’t excuse controlling, obsessive, borderline psychotic behaviour and call it intense love.

And whoever says that his reactions were explained by the end needs therapy. His “reason” was a joke, the writer tried to give him a way out of the fictional psych ward I or anyone sane would commit him to.

And talking about love, where was it? How did it come about? When? There was no falling in love. There was no chemistry. There was no connection that they kept talking about. There was some lust and there was Braxton, who decided the relationship was gonna happen no matter what. This is suppose to be a rom com of sorts it reads more like an advert for: “How not to woo a girl” - and that’s me phrasing things nicely.

I loved Braxton and Dakota. Aurora Rose Reynolds does it again.

I just recently discovered this author with her Until Him/Her series and I fell in love. Her heroes are so alpha and I love an alpha and Braxton fits the mold.

Braxton and Dakota meet by mistake. She thinking she is on a blind date. He knowing he is not her blind date but going with the flow because as he says: “I’m not some spoiled brat who’s used to getting their way, Dakota. I’m a man who knows what he wants. And when I find something I want, I go after it until it belongs to me.” And he means exactly that because he is not satisfied until he makes Dakota his.

I loved his personality. At first he came off as a possessive, controlling alpha because he is and unapologetic about it. But you find out later in the story why he is that way with her. I found him endearing and swoon worthy. Dakota has been through a lot in her life and she doesn’t realize that Braxton is just the type of man she needs.

This is a quick read. Not as steamy as the author’s previous books but has some heat. I read it in one sitting and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I highly recommend it,

5 'The Unexpected But Appreciated' Stars

This is absolute PERFECTION!!! Passionate and oh so enthralling, The Wrong/Right Man completely absorbed me into its pages from that very first scene!
And Braxton... Oh boy, he now wins the crown for the most INTENSE, OTT possessive, protective and OBSESSED of ARR’s Heroes and that is saying a lot with all her OTT Alphas goodness!!! ADORED. EVERY. WORD!!!

ADORED. EVERY. WORD!!!

The blurb alone got me obsessed with this story, I was absolutely giddy with excitement for this story, but what I got was even more than I was expecting! The intensity of the insta connection between Dakota and Braxton is beyond palpable, so much so I felt on the edge of my sit, waiting to see how this insane chemistry was going to unfold.

“The moment I saw you, I wanted you.”

He’s right; I can’t deny our connection. It’s like a living, breathing thing that’s taken on a life of its own.

Dakota was such a relatable character, sweet but fiercely independent, it was impossible not to put ourselves in her shoes, and boy oh boy, those shoes are looking mighty fine, because the way she mistakes the wrong man for her blind date, but he ends up being the PERFECT man for her, I'd say she's one lucky lady!

Braxton... OMG, may I just say I ADORED every single thing about this man, even his cluelessness when it came to how overbearing he was being, made me fall hard for him. True OTT Alpha and I. LOVED. IT! Sexy, confident, devoted, giving and LOVING, this man really was the best and is now right there at the top - together with Nico, of course - of my fav ARR Alphas, and that is saying a lot with how much Alpha goodness she has given us. Braxton is as swoon worthy, sigh inducing as it goes!

"You are seriously the most frustrating man I have ever met in my life.”

" I’m a man who knows what he wants. And when I find something I want, I go after it until it belongs to me.”

His mouth is hungry, desperate, and branding as he kisses me, and in that moment, I know I’m already his.

Aurora Rose Reynolds really gave us in The Wrong Right Man her trademark feel good, emotional and sexy romance, with Braxton's OTT Alphaness taking it to an even more delicious read. SO much so that this world she has here created and all these amazing secondary characters have left wanting even more of this gang, because even with that absolutely PERFECT Epilogue, I'd love stories for each of these guys with even more peeks into Braxton and Dakota, and their HEA! I'll be stalking even more of this ARR Seattle deliciousness, because I neeeeedddddd all of it! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

“Why do you think you’re falling in love with me?”
“I don’t think I’m falling in love with you.” His eyes stay locked with mine as his thumb glides over my jaw. “I am in love with you.”
“How do you know?”
“How do you know you need to breathe?” he asks in return, and tears start to fill my eyes. “Loving you isn’t something I think about. It’s something that has happened without me thinking about it and is as natural to me as taking my next breath.”

I’m just glad that Mr. Wrong ended up being Mr. Right.

4 Blind date gone wrong stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

He smiles down at me like he knows exactly what I’m thinking. “ I know where you live and where you work, Dakota.”
“Why does that sound like a threat, Braxton?”
He brushes his lips across mine. “Because it is.”

Whenever I’m in a mood for a sweet and steamy read with a hot and swoony alpha hero, Aurora is my go to author. I’m in love with her writing style. Even though you know what’s going to happen next, you still don’t wanna out it down. I read this one in one seating because I was that hooked with their story. Their chemistry was just right. It felt as if they were made for each other.

Dakota was the perfect sweet and down to earth woman. She was strong spirited and didn’t let what happened to her in her last relationship stop her from moving on. She had an instant connection with Braxton both emotionally and physically. She never shied away from telling him just how she felt especially when she was mad which was just so damn funny to watch. You could see how easily she was falling for him. I definitely loved their banter, you couldn’t help cracking up. Her relationship with her brother was just as sweet.

Braxton was the CEO of IMG where she worked. He was smitten with her from the moment he saw her, I mean why else would a person just agree to be different guy. He was the right amount of bossy, possessive, sweet and hot. He never let her push him away.

The only explanation for everything that happened between us since the moment we met is his determination to get his way.
I’m just glad that Mr. wrong ended up being Mr. right.

I found the plot really unique and funny. I never got annoyed. The sex scenes were steamy and didn’t take away from the romance. The only reason I deducted a star was because I felt that with how much secretive Braxton was being, it felt a little flat after I found out what actually was happening. I wanted a little more. My favourite part was definitely the epilogue, it made me feel warm and so adorable.

If you guys are looking for a short and sweet read, give this one a shot. ♥️

Where to start with this one, I know I've read plenty of books where the main hero has stalker tendencies and I've enjoyed them , but that's because of how the author framed events and the characters. Sadly here that was so not the case. Braxton just comes of as a guy Dakota should RUN from as fast as she can. He is not portrayed in a way where your protective brother would be giving him the thumbs up.

The attraction and spark I would have expected from characters in a Reynolds' book just weren't there, something I can't believe I'm saying since I have a number of the author's books that I really enjoy, due to the sparks that flare between the main characters.

There was no real development when it came to the plot and so called relationship.

Spoilers ahead

I deleted my review because I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this book
The premise was good and executed fairly well but the H was way too intense for me especially as we didn't know the reasons behind his behavior until later in the book. I expect a possessive, protective Alpha male from this author and I usually revel in her delivery of such but this H was overbearing, controlling and acted like a creepy stalker. We do find out that he had information that she was in danger which is why he acted as he did but it was just too much for me. I'm going with a tentative 3 stats until I think on it further

No cheating
OM as her ex kept calling and made a brief appearance(I wanted to smack her upside the head for even going to meet the cheating idiot in the first place and then crying after the visit ended. Girl please)
h had only been with her ex
No details on H
It seemed as OW drama briefly but she was a friend he'd dated but nothing ever happened between them
OM stalker who was interested in the h

I can always count on this author for a hot, delicious, alpha male who knows no boundaries. And boy oh boy did Braxton live up to my expectations. No boundary was left uncrossed by this hot alpha! I was laughing my ass off at some of the antics he pulled.

Here’s what I loved:
If you’re an ARR fan, you will absolutely love the jealous possessive hero of the story. He does whatever it takes to not only get his girl, but to keep her secure. A man after my own heart.
The cover is shit hot!!
The story is entertaining. The secondary characters are interesting. I didn’t check if this was a series, but I could totally see setup for future stories. I’d be on board for each one of them!!
The chemistry between this couple is palpable. It simmered, spilled over, and then ignited. I wanted a tiny bit more in that department, but was overall very satisfied.
With any ARR novel you get a little suspense and this one was no different, but things get resolved fairly quickly.

Overall, this was a super quick and totally fun read! Recommended!

Right or wrong ⭐️

Each time I review a book by ARR I say the same thing. She’s the one who gives me that OTT alpha hero, caveman-style, highly protective and unapologetic in his crazy domineering way. That’s why I always one-click anything she publishes.

Unfortunately, with The Wrong/Right Man she didn’t manage to get more than three stars from me. If I were completely honest, my rating would be closer to two stars, but it’s ARR and I can’t do that.

Read the blurb and you’ll know everything there’s to know about the story. Here are my “issues”:
- the heroine: she really got on my nerves with her constant push and pull towards the hero. Up until 70% of the book, she admitted to being attracted to him, but she was ALWAYS mad at him for one thing or another. Example: every time his phone rang, she would bitch about it and him being a millionaire CEO, you can imagine his phone lighting up quite often.

- their relationship: ok, so she was supposed to meet some guy for a blind date, but our hero was there instead. I promise you, i have no issues with the idea of insta-love, but i still need some sort of development. Here, he seems obsessed with her and she basically tells him to fuck off.
I don’t know why he liked her, when did he fall in love and when did he became bff with Dakota’s brother.

Everything about this book felt rushed, even the ending. There’s something happening out of the blue and there’s a totally unsatisfactory epilogue. I feel bad. 😔 I was really excited about this one. The only good part of it was the hero.

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

I’m horrified that many women readers like this book. This zero, stole her information, let himself into her apartment WITHOUT her permission. He read her texts messages, (once again without her knowing) called her brother (Brother wasn’t that good either if he didn’t cared that a man who basically didn’t know his sister was stalking her) put a TRACKING DEVICE on her ass (not really on her ass but you get my point) if you guessed again WITHOUT HER KNOWING then good for you (until she figured that it was a tracking device) and to all these readers he’s the most amazing alpha man there is?
First comes stalking, then abuse and last comes murder.
Oh but everything is good and dandy because he’s a good looking millionaire alpha man. 🤦🏻‍♀️

This amazing and highly entertaining story had everything I've come to love about ARR's books: a hot OTT possesive and protective Alpha, a super sweet and feisty heroine and sizzling hot insta-chemistry between the main characters that was absolutely palpable on every single page. Let me tell you that I was intrigued by the blurb from the first moment it has been revealed. I seriously couldn't wait to get my hands on this story.

Imagine waking up next to a gorgeous guy you've spent an incredible night with but find out that he isn't the guy you've been set up for a blind date. Talking about awkward and wanting to kick the guy for not telling the truth. But how was Dakota Newton supposed to know that her Mr. Right was actually Mr. Wrong? Braxton Adam is a wealthy and very succesful businessman who is used to getting what he wants. And the moment he saw beautiful Dakota he knew that he needed to have her. Even if it meant having to lie to her about his identity in order to spend a memorable date with her. He might not be the man she was expecting but she is the woman he has been waiting for.

I've thoroughly enjoyed the slow burn between Braxton and Dakota and their constant push and pull. Braxton was very overbearing and bossy at times which drove Dakota crazy. He had a control issue and some serious stalker tendencies. Brax is not the usual ARR romance hero - he is much more intense. His questionable antics will make you mad at times but also amuse you. You will understand him and his actions better when you get to know the reason behind it. I respected Dakota for standing her ground and not letting him dictate every aspect of her life. She had zero problems calling him out when he overstepped. Their sexual chemistry was the catalyst for their relationship but the more they got to know each other the more they realized that they're perfect for each other. I absolutely adored the special bond between Dakota and her brother Jamie. They were thick as thieves and it made me happy how Braxton also welcomed him into his life.

The Wrong/Right Man is a light and low-angst read you can easily immerse yourself into with wonderful main and secondary characters who are going to steal your heart. If you're a sucker for an uber Alpha hero you want to smack at times but also kiss senseless than this book is going to be right up your alley. Go and pick it up and let this fantastic author put you under her spell. I'm giving this steamy standalone 5 stars!

This is the over the top, possessive alpha I have been looking for for the last few weeks. I have had such a craving for a hero like Braxton that the whole time I was reading this I did it with a weird sappy smile on my face. I knew Aurora has the ability to write those heroes and I even redownloaded Until November to reread when I couldn’t find anything that lived up to what I was craving when this one landed on my kindle. And honestly regardless of if he was a crazy OTT alphahole or not I would still be just as happy to receive this since it’s Aurora Rose Reynolds and her writing is perfection.

But it doesn’t matter because Braxton is everything crazy, insane, controlling, possessive, protective, crazy alpha I wanted and more. Honestly if I met him in person I would kick him in the boys and move house but in a book it just works for me. He was so completely all in from the first time he laid eyes on Dakota it was awesome.

Dakota was a great leading lady too. She absolutely thought he was nuts and she didn’t allow his crazy to just steamroll her life. She stood up for herself and she questioned and argued every time his brand of crazy came out to play. I really liked her. She was her own person and she knew what she wanted and she worked to get it. And even when Braxton was acting crazy and she understood the why’s she still stood up for herself and went ahead with what she wanted.

The drama in the story didn’t come from where I expected and I kind of got caught out trying to figure when the bus took that turn but I was still more than happy to continue on with the ride. Personally it felt like it came out of nowhere and was resolved way too quickly but that said I also am really happy that it wasn’t super drawn out and ridiculous. I was surprised there wasn’t more of a resolution with Dakota’s boss and her niece because that felt a little up in the air but I think that’s only because I was expecting it to be more of the story, not that it was actually unresolved. And honestly the whole book felt like it wrapped up way too quickly but again that’s probably because I was hoping for a million more pages and can never get enough.

Wow that sounded like a lot of negatives but I really loved the book. I loved the characters, the plot twist and the sweet as sugar epilogue. I just always want more words from Aurora. And even if I got them I would probably still ask when I’m getting more so meh.

This is such a good book.
I get that it is unrealistic and in real life this wouldn't be normal behaviour but in this romance world I liked it.
It is insta but also isn't as the heroine calls him out on his possessive behaviour.
The premise as described in the blurb is great.
There is no other woman drama or information about his past relationships.
There is small other man drama in form of an ex who cheated on her, she's not interested but there is some talk of their past relationship and some possible interest on his part.
Lots of potential for future books in series as there as many secondary characters, her brother and his band, work mates and the Hero's family.
A sweet read but it does have an actual story.
No intimate scenes other than the Hero and heroine.
HEA.

I gotta say.. this story was 50/50 for me.. I enjoyed the story and I really love Dakota. And the romance parts that weren't stalkerish lol

As for Braxton boy I thought I seen OTT alpha males.. but he takes the cake.  Now I dont mind over the top.. but some of the things Braxton did was board line crazy that had me.  Going oh no. The digital stalking with the watch was over the top.. and I was glad Dakota told Braxton up front when he was pushing the line.. I did wish she stuck to some of her guns when she was mad at him.

As for her brother I like him but idk if I'll read his story if he gets one.. he is a big time manwhore.. and if I wanna read it.. beside that Jamie and Dakota have a amazing brother/sister relationship.

This was pretty good. I liked the controlling bulldozery possessive/protective hero. The h wasn’t my favorite demographic, but I didn’t hate her. Maybe slightly overly independent - but kinda expected for her age and career level.

The stalker bit at the end was silly.

Bottom Line? This was entertaining enough. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 3.5 stars

⚠️SAFETY SQUAD SPOILERS⚠️

- no cheating or sharing
- OW drama - the h questions the H’s relationship with his PA, but nothing much comes of it. The girl ends up nice and isn’t really interested in the H and visa versa
- no OM drama
- no dubcon
- neither MC is a virgin (h is 27, H’s age isn’t given, but I’m guessing early 30s)
- no condoms or discussion of protection of any kind 😕
- low angst

It’s a no from me, folks.

If you’re looking for the following, be sure to check this book out:
-an overly controlling (to the point of scary) hero
-a heroine that lacks a spine
-creep factor 1000000%
-a man that steals all your information on your phone and breaks into your house. But don’t worry, he’s sexy so we have to forgive him. Men will be men, amiright??

The fact that no-one thinks this behaviour is wrong in the book is just scary. I’m all for dark romance, but sis, this ain’t it.

First of all - sexy cover right there. Very lickable!

It has been a while since I have read an ARR story, and it was great do delve back into her worlds.

Dakota and Brax's story is soooo steamy *fanning myself*. I mean, don't we wish all blind dates would work out as well as Dakota's.

Now, don't get me wrong, I think Brax is sexy AF, but boy did I have my issues with him.

I know the alpha guys can be a bit full on, and I don't worry about their actions in books, even though I wouldn't always particularly like them in real life.

But even for a book character I found his actions too much. This isn't just stalking behaviour, this is stuff he should go to gaol for!! He was way to OTT for me. Like creepy OTT. Like get the man a restraining order OTT.

I could completely understand Dakota's conundrum - he's hot and he's great and she likes him, but doesn't like the crap he does lol.

I adored Dakota's relationship with her brother Jamie, and I hope we get more of him in the future.

So whilst I did like the story, Brax just made me like it a little bit less, his actions made him a lot more unlikable to me than an alpha usually does in my books - but this is probably just me.

The Wrong/Right Man is a sweet and sexy story about a chance meeting and an undeniable attraction. Braxton and Dakota’s story had heat and humor and a dash of suspense, making it an entertaining and engaging read.

I really enjoyed the characters and the way they interacted with each other. Braxton and Dakota had sizzling hot chemistry from the moment they met, and their back and forth banter made for some great scenes. Braxton was so over the top in the beginning, but I loved how obsessed and possessive he was when it came to Dakota. There’s nothing I love more than a Hero who has a single-minded infatuation with the heroine and Braxton definitely fit the bill here. He was devoted from day one and really worked hard to prove himself to her. And I liked that Dakota didn’t make things easy for him; she forced him to see her point of view and asserted herself when she needed to. The progression of their relationship felt natural and I liked how they challenged one another.

The writing in the story was great and the plot flowed well. I loved that we got the Epilogue in Braxton’s POV. There were some great secondary characters who could potentially get their own stories and I would definitely be interested in reading those. Overall this was a solid book with likable characters and an interesting storyline. I look forward to reading more from this author.

This is the first ARR book that I haven’t been crazy about in a while. While I didn’t enjoy it as much as I wanted to, I can say that I was entertained the entire time.

She usually writes over the top alpha men and she didn’t hold back with Braxton. I think he was her most alpha yet. He was so unapologetically alpha and possessive. I loved reading about him dominating over the pages! It goes without saying that if you don’t like your heroes like that, then don’t pick this up. I love it when a man knows what he wants and he wanted Dakota and did what he thought he needed to do to get her.

My rating went down because I wasn’t really a big fan of Dakota. She was very lackluster and there’s wasn’t really anything memorable about her. I did like she called Braxton out when he crossed the line at times, but she ALWAYS had to fight him on everything. Even if it was just going to dinner. She also liked to put herself in danger and I was kind of over her. As usual, we have some suspense thrown in. It’s funny when I think about it, but mostly all of her protagonists go through some drama.

I know it seems like I didn’t enjoy this, but I did for the most part. It was mainly the main character that held me back from loving it. I don’t know if we are going to get more books from some of the characters here, but I would love it if we did. Especially her brother Jamie!

Aurora writes what I love about reading in romance. Her male leads are over-protective and love fiercely with everything they have.

A new start and a new job awaits Dakota when she heads to Seattle. A broken engagement to the man she’d spend forever with is left behind.

What she didn’t expect was to run straight into forever with him. A blind date and a case of mistaken identity leads her to forever.

When Braxton spots Dakota he doesn’t even hesitate to be the man she thought she was supposed to be meeting. He knew the moment he saw she was his.

He’s rich, controlling and will do anything in his power to protect her. It may border on stalkerish but he doesn’t care. When an unknown threat lurks in the shadows he’ll risk everything to protect what’s his.

Insta love/obsession on H’s part which I tend to love.
Completely safe story.
Classic storyline of heroine being set up on a blind date and approaching the wrong person - a hot tech billionaire who happens to say he’s her date.

I love an OTT alpha. But the feeling changes when the heroine hates the steamrolling and it actually feels suffocating. Usually they’re okay about it, or secretly like it. Something about this guy felt really overbearing.
She lived in his apartment complex. She worked in his company therefore naturally he has power over her. He called her brother by using her information before she could introduce them. He kept pushing for her to take a job in a department she didn’t want. He was taking away small relationship milestones for unnecessary reasons.
There was just unnecessary omission of information a lot of the time serving to frustrate her. Does he not trust her to basic decisions?
Also think it was abundantly clear that there was a fatal con in his gadget design. If a person could steal someone else’s watch and have access to their person’s personal information, home (due to it functioning as a key), that’s a key safety element. Therefore he also had a part in putting her in danger when her stalker/friend attacks her home - sorry I said it. 🤷‍♀️
Maybe if he had more personality, charisma and flair, I could have been cool with more of his alpha/also taking away her choices, but sometimes he came off as socially stunted.
Anyway, on a whole the story was okay. It had the qualities I like in a romance. It just fell a bit flat for me. Mainly because the two characters were super serious and a little boring. Their personalities could have been more fleshed out especially on the hero’s part since the heroine is our narrator.
