Of course that bottle Mr. Drake was drinking wasn't blood! It would be odd if it were, and it would definitely solve the mystery of how strange Mr. Drake is, but alas, he has eluded us all again.
But my goodness were these kids bratty in this one. Sure they talked about how if they were a band or something they wouldn't break up, and Eddie being the leader and all and then all of a sudden they can't get along and break up, but Melody is always so mean to Liza, and they're supposed to be friends? I was getting really annoyed with it.
But Mr. Drake got away once again, will we ever find out how he knows Mrs. Jeepers?

A fun, nostalgic throwback to childhood! The Bailey School Kids always make me smile, and this one brought back that perfect mix of mystery, mischief, and humor. The idea of Dracula joining a game of kickball is so absurd it works, and it captures the imagination in a way only these books can. Great for kids — or adults reliving their book-fair glory days.
This story was all over the place, plotwise it was incoherent, seemed like a very thin premise for bringing the dracula character back. Nobody behaved like a normal person in this one.
We've read several books in this series and our girls like them. We are skipping around the series, but it doesn't seem to matter much. We will certainly read more as we come across them, although I prefer our girls to read them independently. They are quick, entertaining reads and aren't scary.
The collection of "The adventures of the Bailey School Kids" stories are among my all-time favorite children's books. Witty, mischievous and fun, these short and silly books continue to bring giggles to the young and old. Just as I have enjoyed them as a kid, my own children also love them today. I even catch myself re-reading them (alone) from time to time. What can I say? I guess I'll always be a BSK kid at heart.
The Bailey School Kids is a best-selling children's book series by Marcia Thornton Jones and Debbie Dadey. Its main characters are a group of four children (Eddie, Howie, Liza, Melody) who suspect some persons in the stories are popular folk lore or fairy tale characters. They are appealing because they mix a familiar story in with this group of kids. Mid-grammar school
This is my first experience with the Bailey School Kids. Are they always about the kids being really paranoid about some monster teacher, and yet, not exactly wrong?
