Dona Herweck Rice has written hundreds of books, stories, and poems for kids on just about everything, from acrobats to zucchini. She also loves reading, live theater, dancing, and singing at the top of her lungs. She lives in southern California with her husband, son, and one cute, silly, and loveable little dog.
Just like the other recordings in this same series, I find that they are delightful and simple enough for beginning readers; and a great nostalgic reminder of a fable from my youth. I always loved this story growing up and the dramatic (juvenile) reading just made a fun story with a valuable lesson at the end.
