Hello, I am Simone Beaudelaire, romance enthusiast, freelance proofreader, and novice author.
In real life, I'm a wife, mother, and full time high school French teacher, which doesn't leave me a lot of time for my hobby. Of course, that hasn't stopped me yet.
I hope I can connect with other readers of romance (and other genres. I love to read, and through my beta reading group, I have recommendations in all different categories.)

Divorced Chase hits on Baylee at the bookstore and she turns him down... but it turns out he's her best friend's husband's boss, so they run into each other at a karaoke night at his own bar where he's the manager. Single mom Baylee has secrets... which she's reluctant to share with anyone, especially Chase even though she's attracted to him.

In the slowest relationship timeline I have ever read, she agrees to get to know Chase better... like 4 dates over two months and she refuses to sleep with a man until she's married... because there's no such thing as birth control in this world??? It's crazy. Even crazier is that she's homeless and when Chase learns of her situation he scoops her up and takes her back to his townhouse where they sleep in separate bedrooms. Unfortunately the kid's father's parents want full custody of her son and when she refuses to just turn him over to them, they call child protective services and she freaks out. So Chase suggests that they marry to establish a family unit.

It all works out in the end, she gets custody but then the kid's dad breaks out of jail and kidnaps his son. They get him back but not without the help of Chase's ex wife (weird). They do love each other and there's an HEA.

If I had known.....

This was such a bland book. This is my favorite author and this is the most nothing book that in my opinion that she has written. Well isn't that so sweet how she was so blessed. Yes she was but the book should have been listed as inspirational. I never would have read it. I gave it 3stars because she is my favorite author. The Christianity wasn't over done but some decisions, I just could not agree with. There didn't seem to be any depth to the characters.

This is a beautiful love story about two people that have been hurt and didn't trust easily. The author takes you through the story of Chase and Baylee and the pain they both endured, and the strength they both share. Baylee was a good christian girl that got caught up with the wrong boy and Chase had a marriage that ended in divorce. I love the way this author brought them together and that she used prayer in her story giving it a "real" feel

3 stars. A story of two people with broken pasts who find love and strength in one another. This could have been a great book of two people with pasts that haunt them and make them tentative about the future, unfortunately I found the characters somewhat bland and had almost forgotten them as soon as I had finished the book. The story seemed to plod along in some parts and although there were some steamy scenes the way the characters always felt 'blessed' was a little sickly at times rather than feeling inspirational. Sorry not a book for me.

Breaking is what happens when you make a lot of mistakes.

Life can very rough, when you don't keep your head in the game.. When you have a guardian angel 👼 who also loves you, life gets better.
Strong characters and good story line, made this a fun book to read. It was good to see that there was some compassion.

This beautifully written tale is a testament to how some seeming falls from grace are really blessings in disguise. Single mother Baylee has landed on hard times, but in the midst of it all she reembraces her surrendered faith while doing everything in her power to lovingly raise her son. Into her life comes Chase, a man who has been disillusioned by life and the ultimate of betrayals. Despite the baggage held by both, they find their way to each other and along with Baylee's son Dylan manage to form a blessed family unit. There are some worrisome trials which occur tied to Baylee's past; however, in the end God's grace shines noticeably on this family.

This story grabbed onto my heart from the beginning, and it kept me enthralled right through to the end. I am very pleased that I had the chance to read this wonderful narrative. Simone had proven yet again that she is a gifted writer whose books are not to be missed.

An arc was received in exchange for an honest review.

I was given a complimentary copy by author Simone Beaudelaire for an honest review.

Chase Milligan got shafted in his divorce by his ex wife. Now he is intrigued with a clerk at a book store but she wont give him the time of day. Baylee Andrews works 2 jobs to try and take care of her son even though sometimes she is just spinning her wheels. She never told anyone about her situation and now Chase seems to be breaking down the walls around her.

The author wrote some very good characters in this story and I was hooked from the beginning of it. The story line flow was smooth as silk from start to finish and a pleasure to read.

This book is for any mature romance book lover.

Simone Beaudelaire writes perfectly flawed characters, making her romances powerful and relatable. Nothing is more rewarding than watching a hero and heroine overcome the obstacles blocking their respective paths to love. Especially if that love offers one or both of them a second chance at happiness. Baylee Breaking is a lovely story where this formula is wonderfully, seamlessly and beautifully executed. I have read several books by this author, and each time I have been magically swept away. The testament of a truly great romance is in its ability to draw you in and make you feel like you're part of the story. Baylee Breaking did all of that and more.

Again, she does it again how I don't know but she does. This book was extremely captivating and emotional and steamy yeah we can't forget about that steam it was. But the all the time while reading the underlying problem is always there balancing out the book. Baylee is in trouble and won't let anyone really know and she won't take help anyway. Until that is Chase comes into the picture and won't take no for an answer, even though Baylee throws a few surprises his way.

This was a good story, filled with mystery, love and Everything else. I love how the church and God was involved in this story. I wished more books would be like this .
