Skin Game

Rate this book
Working on the theory that you can skin a sucker in space as well as on Earth, the con team of Harding and Sheckly operated furtively but profitably among natives of the outer planets. That is—until there was a question of turnabout being fair play in a world where natives took their skinning literally!

🖍️ Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great and entertaining short story! Sure, it's a bit gruesome, but that is what makes this story carry the message. The Project Gutenberg e-book has the original illustration, too.

📙Published in IF - Worlds of Science Fiction - Volume 3, number 3 - May 1954: Prominent Author; Descent; The Ties That Bind; The Genius; Perchance to Dream; Skin Game; Fly by Night; Forsyte's Retreat; Methuselah's Grandparents

*˚˚*•̩̩͙How I happened upon this book: I like discovering short stories to read in the evening. There were a few more of these Golden Age science fiction books in a recent search at both Project Gutenberg and Kindle.

🟢The e-book version can be found at Project Gutenberg.
