About the author

Gia Russell a self-taught artist, and Editor for Basilica Press, from humble beginnings, has dedicated her life to helping those in need, born and raised in an island; when arriving in N.Y. as a teen, she was unable to speak English, which made things very difficult for her, but she did not allow adversity to stop her from doing all of the things she had to do in order to make a better life for herself and her family. “Life is not always what we want it to be, but we can color it any way we like, in order to make it the perfect painting, even when things look rough, there is someone out there who has it worse than us.”

I loved reading it from Gia Russell. I couldn't put it down so I read it within 3 hours. This was an excellent book. I was hooked from the beginning. Not what I expected. Very well written. Hard to put down.
It is the sort of book that opens the mind to so many possibilities through the experience of the author. I would recommend that you read this book and carefully absorb all the fine details, and then use it as a reference book.

This book has just about anything you'd imagine a story should. It gives you all its moments of joy, sorrow, happiness, and so on. Many people can definitely relate to this kind of book. Overall it is a good story to pick up and share with your friends who can also relate, and just want to have a good read.

Wow, this book blew my mind away. I thought it would be a dull story, but NO! It was really beautiful and it touched m heart deeply (I cried).
