Even though incarcerated criminals are considered by some as the lowest forms of society, they are in fact being unfairly used more as a commodity than anything else by the greedy companies contracted through the federal government. Here I use my own personal experiences to unearth the loop hole that privately owned halfway houses across America are exploiting to get rich on the backs of newly released federal inmates. The revolving doors of The Grossman Rehabilitation Center in Leavenworth, Kansas is just another example of the bottomless pit tax payers are forced to throw their money down. Live through my eyes and decide for yourself.
Excellent, succinct narrative about surviving at a halfway house for former inmates trying to return to society. Bottom line, this is a money maker for the halfway house. Residents are set up to fail so they can be sent back to prison as punishment, then returned to halfway house...this is a profit for the halfway house and it keeps and endless supp!y of revolving door of residents. This is ensured by turning a blind eye to substance abuse until it is time to clean house.
Super short read on what life is like for ex-cons transitioning back to society in a small town in Kansas. Corruption and greed run rampant. I wish the best for the author and I hope he’s made his way. The book could definitely have used several more eyes on it for proof-reading as there were silly grammatical errors that could easily have been corrected. Just kinda detracted from the whole.
