Found this book at a garage sale, and God is going to use it in incredible ways in present and future ministry opportunities. The wisdom and insight into effective small group ministry cannot be overstated. Using real life illustrations, and practical Biblical teaching they make application after application that is spot on. Must read for any and all church staff and Sunday school leaders and teachers.

Similar to Donahue and Robinson’s work, Long and company provide a general overview of the nature and purpose of small group ministry. Emphasizing a four-fold mission of community, nurture, worship/prayer, and outreach, Small Group Leaders’ Handbook offers insight especially valuable for those uninitiated in the philosophy of small group ministry.
