You are born with an engraving tattooed upon your skin. It is given to you only to determine what man or woman should be your match. Who should be with you forever once you find them...if you find them. Anna is quiet, stoic, and doesn't let anyone in. And she certainly doesn't care for a predestined "match" ever since escaping a terrifying past life. But when she moves to New York and into a new school with a new family, she feels something strange brewing. Something trying to draw her close. She sees him. And just like her, he too, experiences dreaded demons that haunt him in company. It is impossible to shut people out any longer. Their terrors, gathered from the depths of each complicated path, have dragged both young people into an abyss of pain and trauma. And whether they want to or not, the two must learn that some battles just cannot be fought alone. Will Anna prevail through her desire to distance herself from everyone in order to be with the one person who accepts her despite every splinter? Or perhaps the demons will always be the ones who conquer in the divide...
This story has helped me in more ways than one. I've read it a few times on wattpad and then bought it on here. Thank you Kendall Conway for creating such a master piece.
this book is one of my all time FAVORITE books EVER. the writing is immaculate, not to mention the author is a teenager. it talks about important topics an adds a little fictional fantasy. Anna Cardale is by far one of the strongest characters ive ever read about.
