This is another great installment in the Psychic Menage series by Houston Havens.  This book was fabulous and did not disappoint at all.  This story stared right where the last book left off.  It was fast paced, exciting and had a lot of great romance that was written extremely well.  You couldn't help but fall in love with the characters in this book.

Tessla, Faerydae and Shomar are a perfect threesome.  Tessla who's father is the tyrant leader of the dirt dwellers and she is truly an amazing woman.  She is kind and compassionate and just wants out of her fathers political reach.  Faeryday is in the right spot at the right time and saves her and brings her to his world.  Here the relationship develops between her and Faeryday and Shomar.  They all have a uniqueness that brings them together and what a magnificent trio they make.  The chemistry is real.  I love how they each help each other work through their personal demons.

This book had it all, and Ms. Havens can definitely write a book that holds your attention from the beginning to the end.  I truly enjoyed this book, I am looking forward to the next one in the series.  She is great at world building and writing a story that makes you want more.  I would recommend that you read the first two books in this series before you read this one.  It is worth reading them, you will not be disappointed at all. This book was reviewed by a member of the review staff at Cocktails and Books. I appreciated how much better we get to know many of the races in this novel. The Fae are very well developed here, becoming more than just the shadow myth from the previous novels. The Star Riders also seem much more real, and less barbaric, although still very Alpha dominant now that we know them better. There was also an in-depth history of the world that’s quite interesting on its own and also puts a lot into context. This is all wrapped up in the same fast paced, heated package that we’ve come to know this series for.

We’ve met most of the main characters in this novel previously. Getting to know them much more personally and in a deeper context was quite enjoyable. Tessla and Shomar were fantastic. They were brilliant, strong characters. Faerydae’s massive mood swings did take a bit of getting used to, but he definitely grew on me and I can see why Tessla loves him so much. Seeing him come out of his shell was enlightening.

This is definitely a brilliant sci-fi/dystopian romance that I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to others. I will suggest, however, that you read the series in order otherwise you will find yourself somewhat lost. I’ll also be waiting very expectantly for the 4th novel in this series. I can’t wait for more of this fantastic world that Havens has built. And the lead in to it in the last chapter of this novel has me on pins & needles.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review.

Exposed Ecstasy is the third book in the Psychic Ménage Series and just like the other two, this is worth a read. Houston Havens gives us more insight into this astonishing world she has created and entices us with her variety of characters.

I really enjoyed this author’s characters, but I think Shomar is my favorite. He’s definitely the charmer in this book “love can’t be seen, only felt” and definitely made me swoon a few times. The love scenes are heartfelt and extremely hot “expose my love with the ecstasy in ya’er touch”.

Tessla is a great character as well. She’s been hurt so many times and by the one person who’s supposed to protect her at all costs. She doesn’t believe in love, which is understandable with her background, but that all changes with Shomar and Faerydae.

Faerydae is stubborn. He keeps reminding people how he’s no one’s hero, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Faerydae is a strong character that will keep you intrigued and rooting for him. All three of these characters together make one heck of a team.

Each scene was done with a purpose and I never once felt like skipping over any of the parts. My eyes were glued to the pages, devouring up her words, eagerly waiting to see what was going to come next. There wasn’t anything I disliked about this book or this series. Can’t wait to see what’s next. Reviewed by Jennifer for MNP.

After the emotional conclusion of the previous installment of this series, Fae Star Rider Faerydae's still reeling from what he saw happen to his friend Chandra. It's left a hole in his heart and confirmed his belief in remaining alone as he doesn't want those he cares about to be used against him. He's not as hardhearted as he tries to look though. He's a reluctant hero, saving stray puppies and the endangered daughter of a tyrant. From the moment he meets Tessla it's a sensual battle to keep their distance from each other. But the heart wants what the heart wants and before long they're caught up in a war that puts their burgeoning and conflicted relationship in jeopardy. The addition of Faerydae's close friend Shomar further enhances, but complicates, their polyamorous commitment as they all race to an action-packed conclusion that puts whole races in jeopardy as well as their future happiness in a dangerous plot to overthrow a tyrant.

Faerydae is a sexy and honorable man who cherishes women and would do anything to protect them. Seeing his adoptive mother killed in front of him by his adoptive father has left him emotionally scarred and reluctant to fall in love but he's drawn to Tessla. His Fae blood calls to her and though he's still learning about his heritage he can't argue about what it's telling him. Though he doesn't always express himself well his actions show his commitment to Tessla as well as her happiness. He's rough around the edges but immensely charming and drool-worthy. Shomar is much more comfortable expressing his emotions. He came from a loving family so he often shows Tessla how much he cares in truly sweet and romantic interludes. Cultures now rely on polyamorous relationships to keep their races from dying out so it's easy for Faerydae and Shomar to form their triad which is super steamy and had me jealous of Tessla. Both of these men cater to her every desire and their drool-inducing accents added even more dreamy qualities to them.

Tessla though left me conflicted as she's incredibly naive. She too was portrayed as having her compassion tortured out of her by her father but I didn't see that. She was skittish at first but quickly warmed up to these two. Her society was less advanced than that which she's entered and it left her lost and confused. Sex too left her confused which added problems to their relationship early on. Numerous interactions of hers and acts by her further showed her naïveté and left me exasperated by the end. With two such commanding men I'd wanted a stronger heroine.

This installment seemed more focused on the relationship than war. The political intrigue was touched on and addressed in the latter half of the story but wasn't in the forefront. This story was more about self-discovery as Faerydae learned more about his Fae blood and used his learned talents to stay alive. Tessla too learned how to love and the true worth of being a woman. This story started off slow but quickly picked up steam in a race to another satisfying conclusion to a continually well-crafted series. Those looking for an exciting and steamy dystopian series will definitely want to pick this up! Though it can be read on its own you won't want to miss a moment of this steamy and compelling series!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Anyone who says that romance novels are nothing but fluff with minimal plot have obviously never read a single chapter in Houston Havens’ Psychic Ménage series. And now with the release of the newest book in this fascinating and intriguing series, Exposed Ecstasy, I challenge these detractors to read this book and deny the brilliance of Ms. Havens’ intricate story. If you think that romance novels are weak and dependent on their romance heroes, read Tessla Reto’s story and see your error.

Exposed Ecstasy is an intellectual romance filled with political intrigue, dramatic tension, heartfelt soul-searching, and scorching sexual scenes. It was like seeing your favorite block-buster sci-fi movie come to life on each page. I found myself on the edge of my seat wondering how Ms. Havens would work everything out and what would happen to the resistance movement.

One of the many reasons that I love this series is because of the captivating characters that Ms. Havens’ creates. With each individual, I am fascinated by their passion for justice and commitment to freedom. I am moved by their past and how it affects their future. And I am excited about their finding love even amidst hate and war. Tessla, Faerydae and Shomar are prime examples of the well-developed, three-dimensional characters that permeate this series. I am in awe of Ms. Haven’s ability to create such authentic and believable characters in this imaginary world.

The relationship between the three was a joy to watch develop. I appreciate that it wasn’t an easy relationship at first because it made the romance genuine and even sweeter when they finally fell in love. The chemistry between the three sizzled across the pages. Even the friendship between Faerydae and Shomar was filled with love and concern for someone each considered a brother.

Then as if interesting characters wasn’t enough, we are treated to an enthralling story filled with so many twists and turns that you never know where the ride will take you and yet, you are just so happy to be a part of the journey. The plot that Ms. Havens has created is so intricate and filled with minute details that your brain is as fully engaged in the narrative as your heart is engaged in the romance.

Please be aware that you should not read Exposed Ecstasy as a standalone novel. This is another part of a large story that has been playing out throughout the Psychic Ménage series and without the information gleaned from the first two books, you will probably find yourself lost. But since the first two books are just as wonderful as the third, reading them first is a treat. Now I just have to figure out how to stay busy while waiting for the next book.

Well, Houston has batted another home run! This story focuses on Faerydae, Shomar and Tessla. The battle is still going on between the underground evil government and the above ground innocents. Faerydae rescues Tessla and falls in love with her but he goes into denial and the fear of commitment makes for a long drawn out tug of war between the two. On top of this, he is on a crusade to find his roots. His roommate and best friend, Shoman, enters the mix. He loves Tessla too and he has no fears where she is concerned. The resolution of this situation makes for a very interesting reading experience. Plus, Logan takes a team back to Denver airport for an important mission that produces a horrific experience for Faerydae. The mystery and suspense keeps cooking. This series has been the most thrilling I've ever had my hands on. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Wish I could give more than Five Stars.

Houston Havens has drawn us back in with another great ménage story, you will not be able to put the book down until you have found out more about Faerydae.

When Faerydae rescue Tessla from being taken back to her father. We get a understand of the complex character that is Tessla . Faerydae starts to have feeling towards Tessla, these feeling he has not had before and does not fully understand them. So what does anyone do when they are face with feelings they are scared of they run. Tessla is hurt by this, even though she does not believe in love. Will she get the help of Shomar to show her that she can have happiness? Can they have a poly amorous commitment, without all the jealous of each other?

We are given a more detail of the Star Riders and Fae, how they fit into all the stories a little better in this story.

Another great read in the series that will keep you on your toes and very well entertained. The author did an excellent job of describing the characters and each scene. A very hot and steamy romance that keeps you in suspense until the very end, but it's still leaves a slight cliffhanger at the end. I'm hoping the conclusion will be the next book in this series or at least another book will come out to bring us closer to the conclusion and the fate of the main villain. I was given an ARC for my honest review.

Sinful Surrender started me on this journey by introducing me to Fae and the polyandrous society Havens created. It was hot, erotic and left me begging for Book 2.

Haven’s Phantom Desire was a follow up with Chandra, Fae’s friend, and her three lovers. My heart melted, ached and boomed as I read this story.

But then…Exposed Ecstasy was finished. She gave it to me as an ARC. Holy shit…I didn’t think it could get any hotter. I’m a fan of irony and the fact that Book 3 took us from 3 men down to 2 made me giggle. Houston Havens wound this story with precision. She also made me feel bi-polar. First, I wanted to kick Faerydae square in the balls, then I wanted him all to myself. Shomar I absolutely loved from the very beginning.

Tessla is stuck in an impossible situation and finds herself seeking refuge with a very unlikely hero who saved her from her father’s psychotic attempt on her life. She’s thrown into a world she doesn’t understand. To top it off, she thinks love is a myth.

I don’t want to add any spoilers but Tessla is in for a surprise and the ride of her life.

I really didn’t feel like I read a nearly 100k word novel. It went by very quickly as I raced to the next page. When I was done I needed a shower and a smoke.

Havens does it again and I’m already itching for Book 4 in this awesome series!

Faerydae the mysterious man that he is, finally gets his story told!!! We finally get to learn more about him and who he really is, while also going on his journey of discovering himself.

Shomar is his best friend and although he's a total alpha male he's also a hopeless romantic.

Tessla is the daughter of the most evil man out there, but she determined to bring him down. She never got the chance to spread her wings, but once she does there's no going back for her.

They each bring a part of themselves to a relationship but the one thing they have in common the most is stubbornness. They each want stability and happiness the others bring into their lives but have problems keeping them from being together and this is their story of trying to figure it all out while learning about themselves and finding their happiness together.

The storyline from books 1 & 2 continues and while we don't see much of the other characters we learned about before this is Faerydae, Tessla, and Shomar's story. I can't wait to see how they all come together in the next addition to this series

After escaping the underworld and her father, Tessla Reto lands right in the middle of two sexy men with no idea how to keep everyone’s heart intact in this captivating erotic futuristic fantasy romance. I have to say that this threesome may just be my favorite (so far) because they are polar opposites but make such a dynamic and explosive trio. I was completely enthralled with their romance from the very beginning and the author has added quite a bit of interesting elements to spice things up even more and I can’t wait to read the next story. I do want to recommend that while you could read this as a stand-alone, especially as the author provides such a helpful guide in the front of her book, the series is better read in sequence to get the full impact of this fascinating world.

This is a great romance, I really enjoyed it. In this book we get to know the main characters a lot better and the fantastic dynamics between all of them. It's a very well developed story and the writing is outstanding. The love between Faerydae and Tessla is a sight to see and was happy to see him come out of his shell. I am looking forward to reading more form this series.

Wonderful Book

Fantastic third book in what is to be a 7 book series. The action is fast paced in this sci-fi fantasy. Faerydae overhears a plot to kidnap Tessa Reto, daughter of the hated leader of the Dirt Dwellers. He comes to her rescue and takes her to his home, where she meets Faerydale's best friend Shomar. Two very different men, and a woman whose life is in peril. I love this erotic romance set in a dystopian world. The world building is vivid and the characters fascinating. Great story!

My Thoughts

The third book in a series that pushes boundaries as well as follows the exploits of a diverse group of characters this time we are exposed to more background information about those characters as well as the differences in the cultures they grew up in.

Fairydae was a side character who appeared in both book 1 Sinful Surrender and book 2 Phantom Desire . He long ago vowed to never let his heart overrule his head, having no attachments has kept him from grieving the loss of loved ones in the past but at the moment that peace is shattered after seeing a dear friend die right in front of him.

Add that to his quest to find out his true origins of birth and he has enough on his plate, that is until he stumbles upon a plot to cause harm to the unsuspecting Tessla which he manages to prevent thus becoming a hero in her eyes.

Tessla is new to the cast, even though she was mentioned before as being the daughter of the Dirt Dweller’s ruler, and finds herself rescued by Fairydae when he thrwarts a plot to kidnap her. She finds herself attracted to a man for the first time in her life but the mixed signals Fairydae sends her lead to confusion, frustration and anger as her hero turns into her captor.

Shomar, Fairydae’s best friend and roommate falls in love with Tessla which causes her all kinds of mixed emotions as she finds herself attracted to two men at the same time.

As a Dirt Dweller she was taught that attraction was unnatural, but as she soon finds out the only thing unnatural would be to fight her feelings for both men as her heart has enough room for them both to share.

What happens over time is a new chapter for each of the three in their lives, a healing for all of them that was much needed to erase past demons for Fairydae and Tessla especially as their future promises to be filled with joy!

The continuation of the rebellion is touched upon with a bit of the action reintroducing earlier characters but this is really a book that focuses on the romantic relationships formed between Fairydae, Shomar and Tessla.

As intense as both books prior to it, and as darkly edgy.

“Exposed Ecstasy”: Unlike “Sinful Surrender” (book 1) and “Phantom Desire “(book 2), I didn’t completely fall in love with the heroes and heroine. Faerydae was an ass for the majority of the story. He did have moments where he showed his sweet and loving side such as when he gave Tessla the pup, their time in Elfhame, and the final chapters. However, for the most part, he played games with her heart, spoke with little patience, and became a person I dreaded entering a conversation/room.

Tessla didn’t come off as a strong woman who had the backbone to stand up against her father, Reto. Her begging Faerydae to allow her to be a part of his life in some way wasn’t flattering. Especially when he kept pushing her away. I know you can’t give up on love but I just didn’t understand her behavior, especially since she hardly knows him.

Out of the three of them, Shomar was the only likable character. He was sweet, charming, romantic and wore his heart on his sleeve. His begging forTessla not to leave him seemed too much since, again, he barely knew her. In fact, he wanted to marry her after knowing her 24 hours.

But, that’s how the men roll in this series. They go from 0 to 60 in less than 2 seconds. For me, I wish the men, in general, would start slowing down.

As for Faerydae, I wanted him to stop doing the “We can’t.” — “I can’t.” — “I want you.” — “We are a mistake.” — bullshit game sooner. It got old fast, like his character.

In this third book, we see more about Faerydae, and we meet Tessla, also when Faerydae takes her back to the space station, she starts putting two and two together after she meets Shomar, Faerydae's roommate/friend. Tessla is the missing daughter of the Underground Government's leader. Faerydae is in an alley with someone when he hears some people approaching, with his super hearing. The couple moves to the back of the alley, and he tunes in to the conversation between the two men. What does he hear, what are their plans and what does he do about it? Watching Faerydae deny things and try to push Tessla away is funny. What happens when he leaves for a mission with a note that he cannot give her what she needs? What drastic measure does she take? Does she stay on Earth or does she go back to the station? What happens to Faerydae that makes him realize what he realizes? There are two things that happen. Wait until you see what they are and what he does in retaliation to those realizations. This does end with an HEA that has me grinning from ear to ear. Also be warned there is one hell of a cliff hanger at the end of this one! WOAH! I cannot wait for the next book.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE BOOK
To get a true in depth of the stories I will suggest, however, that you read the series in order otherwise you will find yourself somewhat at a lost. Can’t wait for the 4th novel in this series.to see what great story Havens has built for us this time.
