Looks like everybody’s training has been cut short now that the Arrancar’s are back!! This volume focused a lot on training and Orihime’s strange powers. Everybody seems to be curious about her abilities, and now that I think about it I think the others were a distraction so that Ulquiorra could get to Orihime! I’m ready to start the next volume and see what happens next.
*everyone's training or bickering with each other* Ukitake in the Soul Society: "If only this fleeting peace could last a little longer..." *AN INSTANT CUT TO THE ARRANCARS' ARRIVAL*
Now that Ichigo's tamed his inner Hollow, it's time for him to learn how to use its abilities (which means staying in the Hollow form as long as possible). Hiyori's giving him a hard time, but despite all the efforts, after one month all Ichigo can do is staying in the Hollow mode only for 10 seconds. Meanwhile, the Soul Society Delegation is training (and bickering with each other at the same time) hard to be ready for an upcoming attack.
But the attack comes much faster than anyone anticipated.
Grimmjow comes back, but he's not in charge anymore. He shows up with two other Espada members: Yammy (no. 10) and Luppi (the new no. 6), and a new addition to Aizen's Arrancar family, a very childish Hollow named Wonderweiss. Grimmjow quickly leaves the party to find the one person he really wants to fight (Ichigo), while Yammy and Luppi stands up against the Soul Society Delegation squad (okay, I know that technically it's named The Hitsugaya Advance Team, but I like the SS Delegation name better). Things get really dangerous when an arrogant and narcissistic Luppi takes on against all the gathered Soul Reapers.
"I'm not lying! And I'm not mad! I'm just .. I'm just sad. I want to fight with the rest of you! But more importantly... I don't want to be a burden to anyone. If I'm going to hinder Kurosaki-kun or anyone else... I'd rather be sad." [Orihime]
I'm as thrilled to write about Orihime as you can imagine. If you wrote my previous reviews, dear reader, then you know that she's not a character that I like. I would be happy to cut her out of the story if I only could do so. But she's a big part of Volume 26, so here I am, talking about her. She's the one who had found Ichigo in the Vizards' lair and she's the one who told him about Aizen's discovered plans. After seeing how optimistic Ichigo is about the upcoming battle (he's getting stronger and believes that he will win against Aizen), she decides to become stronger too, so he wouldn't be forced to protect her anymore. It's all cool so far, right? Now I'm gonna tell what my problem with her is, when it comes to this part of the story at least. For the love of the Soul Society and all the souls, why oh why she had to be inspired by Ichigo to want to train? She knew that everyone of her friends is preparing for the upcoming battle, why didn't she do anything with herself until now? And she did have the need to fight alongside Ichigo and the others, she said so, why didn't she immediately start her training? Then we saw her sparing (kind of, I guess) with Rukia, but it's not like anything had changed! She's constantly saying how she wants to get stronger and protect Ichigo, but she's doing nothing with it! *sigh*
P.S. It's admirable how Chad jumped into his protective mode when Urahara said to Orihime that she wouldn't fight with them this time, but him saying that she fought hard in the Soul Society is a big exaggeration and even he had to realize that. All she did was heal a couple of people (when she was asked to) and that was that.
Anyways, things will come faster into motion with the way this volume had ended. Hueco Mundo arc starts soon! I'm excited to meet all my favorite characters!
Some of my thoughts I like to share
~ the fact that Hitsugaya had forgiven Hinamori so quickly, without any hesitation, is truly something. His love for her had to be incredibly strong (she tried to kill him after all!). ~ after everything that had happened Hinamori still believed that Aizen is not the bad guy here. I get that she loved him and love is blind and so on so on, but c'mon 😒 ~ Toshiro's smile is so precious! 🥹 ~ Hiyori being bothered by the fact that Shinji never considered her as his "first love" material, despite saying it about every pretty girl (including Lisa) was hilarious 😆 ~ I never realized how big Hachi is, wow! 😳 ~ Hachi being all smiley and happy around Orihime, because he felt like he had found a long lost relative was so cute 🥹 ~ TSUBAKI'S RETURN! YAY! ☺️ ~ "Um... You see, Rukia, inside there's a..." "Don't tell me. I don't want to know. I came here, because I sensed a trace of Ichigo's spiritual pressure. If he hasn't told me about this, I'm sure there's a good reason. As long as he's safe, that's enough for me." - INSTANT TEARS 😭 ~ My poor baby Grimmjow didn't deserve what they did to him in the Hueco Mundo 😔 ~ The way Ichigo beat the crap out of Grimmjow (until his mask broke) 😳 ~ Luppi, justice is coming for you, you just wait!
Something about the Espada and their threat makes them likeable villains.
The first half of this volume is mostly training but it's pretty funny and well done. I also really liked the training for Ichigo. Everyone else is also getting their powers upgraded too. I think what they're doing with Oro is kind of just okay idea but I feel the idea of what will happen to her is similar to the last arc.
But once Grimjaw shows up it get serious and everyone begins a rough battle. With all the Reapers on the edge of losing it gets real exciting to see what happens next! A 4 out of 5.
Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. Basically in this volume Ichigo is training to be able to use his hollowfied form. He wants to be able to control it long enough. When Orihime stepped outside of the building Yurichi is there to greet her. Urahara wanted to speak with her. He tells her to sit out of the battle which is honestly a wise decision. Chad is training with Renji when Orihime is told that. He is shocked by the news. Hachi, one of the Vizards, wants to speak with Orihime. He heals Tsubaki's injuries. He also tells Orihime that their powers are not suited for battle. They both have similar powers. When Orihime Rukia gets mad and tells them they should train together. They go to the Soul Society to train. Uryu is also training with his father to regain his powers back. Meanwhile, the Espada make plans to leave. They come to Karakura town. Captain Hitsugaya and the other soul reapers go fight him. Ichigo also leaves where he was training. He needed to fight Grimmjow who has returned. He shows Grimmjow how much he has improved from there last fight. While training in the Soul Society, Rukia and Orihime get the alert. Orihime is not able to go through the Senkaimon. They make a stabilized one for her, but they are attacked by Ulquiorra. I loved this volume of course. As I love most of the volumes of Bleach who knows how I feel about it later on. I still wish they never cancelled the anime. Maybe people who loved it should start a petition to bring it back. I know there was a lot of filler in Bleach, but Naruto has a lot of filler too and wasn't cancelled. Bleach might not be as popular, but it was really fun. I enjoyed it except for one filler season.
I thought that season was dumb, but the other filler seasons were good. Ugh...I may have to start that petition after all...I need more Bleach...as I have said...in my first ever review I was unsatisfied with how the series ended....anyway...I really loved this volume!
Characters: Ichigo- I love his development! I loved his hollowfied form so much! It makes him even more epic Orihime- She's cool. I kinda feel bad for her in this volume, but oh well. She is basically the Sakura of Bleach. Rukia- She's alright. She at least can fight. Chad- I love him! Uryu- I love him too! Urahara- He is amazing. Rangiku- She is a fun character to have around. Toshiro Hitsuguya- I love him and his weapon so much. Yumichika- He is hilarious in this volume especially when talking to his zanpakuto. I love his character though. Ikkaku- I love his fighting skills in all the episodes! Ulquiorra- I love him! Grimmjow- I love him!
Ichigo continues his training and is able to control his hollow form for 11 seconds and there is good interaction between him and the Vaizaado's. Funny moments too. Chad is training with Renji. Orihime realizes stuff, relays message to Ichigo and then goes to train with Rukia. Then Arrancars start attacking from all sides so its upto different people to take on them. Ichigo is fighting Grimmjow while the other Shinigamis are fighting this person named Luupa! Also enter Urahara! Good volume, interesting revelations, the art is phenomenal!

Bleach, Vol. 26 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next ten chapters (224–233) of the on-going manga series.
Kisuke Urahara manages to ask Renji Abarai to help train Yasutora "Chad" Sado so that he will be able to fight the Arrancars. He also convinced Orihime Inoue not to participate after having lost her attack spirit Tsubaki heavily damaged during the encounter by Yammy Riyalgo. After Tsubaki is repaired by the Vizard Hachigen Ushōda, Orihime is found by Rukia Kuchiki as she decides to train her at the Soul Society.
Later, as Ichigo Kurosaki is able to wear his hollow mask for eleven seconds from his training, Sōsuke Aizen tasks Ulquiorra Cifer to lead a mission with a group consisting of Yammy, revealed to be Espada Ten, the newly created Arrancar 77 Wonderweiss Margera, Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, and the new Sexta Espada Luppi Antenor. Though Ichigo overpowers Grimmjow, the former Espada has the advantage after Ichigo's mask shattered after eleven seconds.
Meanwhile, after telling Yammy to stand aside, Luppi overpowers all the Soul Reapers present by entering his Resurrección state to capture them in his tentacles from his back. However, Urahara evens the odds as he battles Yammy. In Soul Society, as Orihime crosses into the real world, she is confronted by Ulquiorra.
This tankōbon is written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. The narrative intensifies as Sōsuke Aizen sends a mission to Karakura Town consisting of four Arrancar – two of them Espadas. Fortunately, Ichigo Kurosaki has been training as wells as his contemporaries Yasutora "Chad" Sado, Orihime Inoue, and to some extent Uryū Ishida. However, it is yet to be seen if their combine training is enough to stop this invasion.
All in all, Bleach, Vol. 26 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.
This volume started off heartbreaking- Momo asked Tôshirô to spare Aizen's life, even though he stabbed her and if creating and army to destroy the Soul Reapers and living world. I secretly hope she ends up being the one to kill him...but that is for another time. Chad is continuing his training under Urahara but Orihime is informed that she cannot fight in this upcoming war. Her powers are not great enough. However, Hachi (a Visored) and Rukia both take her under their wing to train her. Because she wants to much to fight, she is given some opportunities to heal and get stronger. As she is passing through the barrier from the Soul Society to the living world, Uliquiorra appears. Uryû is still training away in this metal box with his father and it ends with him getting his powers back.
Back in Aizen's lair, he has found a way to increase the power of the Hôgyoku for a short period of time. It's dormant period is still 4 months, but they can create a warrior that has its full power now- and he creates a weirdo (reminds me of L from Deathnote). However, Grimmjow has been stripped of his rank and is bent on revenge. He goes to fight Ichigo and is surprised that Ichigo can Hollowfy. Their battle ends on quite the cliffhanger.
All of the other captains are battling Luppi, who manages to take an all 4 captains at once. They are saved by Urahara (are we finally going to see him kick some ass?) but he is quickly interrupted by Wonderweiss Margera (the weird thing Aizen created). This will be a fun fight!!
I found this volume exhausting due to all of the training and battles. Everyone was panting, bleeding and sweating- and somehow it pooped me out too. I'm gonna dive into the next volume right away just because I can't wait to see Urahara fight! Eeeeeee!!

This is a section of Bleach where it feels like the wheels are spinning with no traction. The Soul Society arc has been over for ages, but we're still in that gap before Ichigo and his friends infiltrate the world of the Arrancars to, you know, keep the bad shit from happening. So we've been slogging through droll training sequences and piddling battles to highlight how dangerous the Arrancars are (and how much more leveling up our heroes have to do, lol).
Well, the battles aren't piddling because they're easy—far from it—but because they feel like filler. Functionally meaningless until the arc moves to the world of the Arrancars. That is where this large storyline starts to see movement. Until then, we're just, you know, spinning those damned wheels.
Not too keen on how Orihime is being treated. If this arc doesn't end with her showing off lots of cool action moves and proving she can fight without being rescued by Ichigo, then I'm gonna be mad >:[
Given that Manga, and especially Shonen is split up into bigger arcs as composed to volumes I will be analyzing and reviewing this by Arc. I also reread this manga over the span of 2 months, some days reading as much as 100 chapters a day. It would be quite tedious for me to review each 7-8 chapter volume. So this will be copy and pasted throughout all of the 72 manga volumes. That being said, if you're looking at this without having viewed the series...spoiler warning. I don't recap anything, but I also mention things that happen. If you want me to answer the question "Should I pick this up?" Yes. Even if you stop at the end of the Soul Society Arc. It's worth it.
Karakura Town Arc - Chapters 1-56- Rating: 7/10 (The official page lumps this in with the Soul Society Arc however I feel as if they are two very separate arcs with two very separate themes) - A fun introduction. -An interesting premise on the idea of ghosts and demons (Hollows) -Does a good job of introducing the characters and I especially enjoyed the love for characters like Chad, Orihime and Uryu as these characters would later lose more and more spotlight as the series went on. -It is a bit of a monster of the week. When it works, like with Chad's introduction story. It works. But Characters like Don Kanonji felt superficial and very gimmicky. Which, fair. I didn't enjoy them as much.
Soul Society Arc - Chapters 57-182 - Rating: 10/10 -The height of Bleach -Establishes an afterlife seemingly perfectly. Later on revealed to be full of plot holes and never fleshed out but hey! That's not an issue in THIS arc. The fights are top tier, the themes of Ichigo owing a life debt to Rukia and his passion and determination to rise above literally God's army is inspiring and to this day is why I love Ichigo so much. He doesn't have some grandiose plan. He doesn't have a major goal to accomplish. He is a protector by heart, losing his mother has made him sour to failing to protect those he cares about and he'll do anything in his power never to feel that helpless again. Very powerful stuff. -The twist near the end of this arc is revolutionary and would make waves for the next 200 chapters onward. A perfect ending and set up for the forthcoming arc. -The only issues I have for this arc would be Ichigo's lightning speed progression. The guy goes from being able to barely defeat a third seat to besting multiple captains in roughly 100 or less chapters. I get that that is the point and him defeating captains was more of a struck of luck, but progression and pacing wise it feels very unearned and a factor of "for the plot he needed to be this strong" It only seems as fast as it is because Ichigo's progression slows drastically down for the rest of the story moving foreword so it's only now that I make that criticism. -Also, and this will be an issue in most Shonen. There are 13 Captains with 13 Vice Captains and seats that branch all the way to 10 I believe? Regardless, there's a fudge ton of characters that are introduced here and it can get a little jarring at times. Luckily, Kubo does a great job at making their designs and characters unique despite such a large cast.
Hueco Mundo Arc - Chapters 183-423 - Rating 7/10 -This is another arc where personally I would split it up into two separate arcs. But for the sake of this review I will simply refer to the first half of the arc and the later half of the arc. First Half 9/10. Second Half. 5/10. -The first half of this arc is a great continuation of the last. Ichigo now struggles with his inner demons and it affects his ability to protect the ones he loves. We are also introduced to a deadly unknown new villains. The Arrancars/Espada to this day remain one of my favorite villain factions in all of manga enemies. -Just so you're aware I would say the first half of this arc ends right around the point of Ichigo vs Grimmjow. Grimmjow is one of the first Arrancar that Ichigo faces. And he's also one of two Espada that he faces three times. The conclusion of that fight shows Ichigo conquering his inner demons. Where Grimmjow is very much fighting to establish himself. Grimmjow has to fight Ichigo to prove to his fallen comrades that he is as good as he says he is. He doesn't care about Aizen, he doesn't care about the rest of the Espada. It is very personal for him. For Ichigo, Orohime is within his grasp of saving and he views this as his "final" battle. It's my favorite fight in all of Bleach. -However, this is where things start to take a bit of dip in quality in my opinion. We had a goal and we were striving towards that goal. Each character of the original cast coming to repay the debt they made to their friend who had risked her life to save them in the Soul society arc. But somewhere along the way it seems we just had a fighter fest. Captains would face enemies with no themes or character revelations. The Espadas got a little light but nothing that made their fights compelling. You almost just feel bad for the Espada as they were monsters turned into a military force by an unstoppable tyrant. But even that wasn't enough to make half of the fights interesting. Now, that's with knowing the outcome. These fights played little importance in the larger scheme of things. Where at least in the Hueco Mundo fights each match up had the protagonists striving for a goal. Rukia to defeat Aaroneiro to free her former superiors soul. Byakuya to defend Rukia. Renji and Uryu teamwork. Nel to protect Ichigo and get revenge on Nnoitra. Whereas Stark fought Kyoraku.....cause.....and Hitsugaya fought Halibel because Water vs Ice would be cool. -This leaves me to the end. I won't say it wasn't satisfying that Ichigo was able to defeat Aizen. And yes, I do feel like his new power was earned. 3 months of training. But this was clearly a last minute decision to save Aizen for a later date and the show must go on. I do feel like it wasn't as satisfying as 200+ chapter buildup needed to be.
The Fullbring Arc - Chapters 424-479 - Rating: 8/10 -A very underrated arc. And yes, I acknowledge that rating wise I think the Fullbring arc is superior to the Hueco Mundo arc. That is mostly true. Though I like the first half of the Hueco Mundo Arc more than the Fullbring arc. The end of the HM arc really brought it down for me. The Fullbring Arc is much more concise and is actually the shortest arc in the series and works as a glorified Ichigo getting his powers back arc. But that doesn't mean its bad. -When I read it originally back when it was coming out in 2010. (Cause I'm Old) It wasn't phenomenal. In fact, I hated it. But wouldn't you? It took just short of a year to get to the point that we were at. But upon rereading it, it gave much deserved love to the characters who hadn't been shown love in quite some time. The original cast. It was a very character focused arc. Ichigo never seemed more human. And despite me hating it before for taking so long, reading weekly can sometimes hurt these mystery based arcs. The twist is heavily foreshadowed and I really appreciated it. -That being said, the end was super rushed. This was a big bummer for me. The villains this time around were humans. And the ones who had the most exposure and relations with these characters were the original cast who again....were humans. So to have the soul reapers, who have no connection to the fullbringers show up and basically no diff most of the fullbringers felt very forced and fanservicey to me. This very well could have not been Kubo's call. As the community was very vocal about their dislike for this arc as it was going on. But I appreciate it now much more as I appreciate character and story over big sword fights. Lol.
The Thousand Year Blood War Arc - Chapters 424-689 - Rating: 5/10 -And we're finally here. The final and largest arc within the Bleach story. And man...does it not stick the landing. -That being said, this arc has phenomenal moments. Kenpachi's Shikai and Bankai. Ichigo's double swords. Renji's true Bankai. Rukia's Bankai. And many more. However, they are put together against the most break neck speed arc that I have ever read. Kubo was very ambitious when he introduced 26 new villains. However, most of them got barely any screen time and a lot of them even got off screened by higher level captains. This was unlike the Espada who each got a full double page spread for their Resurrections. -Yhwach himself was a phenomenal villain but was dealt with swiftly and imo dirty. They did him dirty. -There was just something off. The mood changed and it was very apparent. The villains had random powers instead of the powers reflecting their personalities or needs. The finale felt so underwhelming. -Ichigo gets to be the strongest he's ever been....but he doesn't defeat a single person besides the main villain despite being in several fights. -It isn't a good arc. In fact, I would say it's the worst. Hopefully the anime does a better job with this already mammoth of a story. 260 chapters is no joke.
This gives the story of Bleach an Overall rating of 7.4/10. Which to me is above average. It has it's ups and downs. It's not perfect. But when it's high, it's peak shonen. But when it's low, it's very forgettable.
While communicating with the Soul Society from Kakura Town, Captain Hitsugaya is surprised to see Hinamori up and about. She apologizes to him for having doubted him, of having accused him of murdering Captain Aizen, since obviously that didn’t happen. Her only request is that he not kill Aizen now.
Renji is frustrated with Uruhara, who more or less tricked him into training Chad, but the training is not going smoothly. Ichigo is still training with the Visoreds when Orihime suddenly appears, much to their surprise. How did she even know how to find them when their location is so off the grid, and how did she slip through Hachi’s barrier? Orihime delivers to Ichigo the important message regarding Aizen’s plan, which includes the destruction of Kakura Town for his own nefarious ends (when are his ends not nefarious?) Uyru’s training with his father is not going very well either, and the man is pushing him to his limits.
When Kiskue calls for Orihime to come to the training grounds, she assumes that she is to train also. But his message is quite different—he tells her that she is stay out of this battle. Orihime understands, but is crushed, nonetheless. Rukia finds her and promised she will help her find a way to grow stronger.
In Hueco Mundo, Yammy has received a new arm, but Grimmjow hasn’t, which means he is no longer an Espada. Ulquiorra and Yammy are called by Aizen and told to carry out the order given by him a month before. They are also to take along the new Arrancar, Wonderweiss. In the Seireitei, Ukitake and Hisagi watch Rukia and Orihime train. Ukitake is pleased to see them together, as Rukia has few friends and finds it hard to let people in.
When the Arrancars drop from the sky, they are met by the Soul Reapers. Ichigo tells the Visoreds he has to go, against their better judgment. While they are thus engaged, Ulquiorra carries out his missions…
In this volume of Bleach, we get a little more insight into what the despicable Aizen has planned. I can’t believe Hinamori still defends him, in spite of what he did to her. She has a rude awakening ahead of her. Training for all our heroes is difficult, but no pain, no gain, right? The Visoreds are running out of patience with Ichicgo, especially as he keeps interrupting his training to step into the fray. Wait until he finds out what Aizen has done now. Or rather what he has sent his minions to do. Ichigo will lose his mind. He will not less this pass.
A lot going on in this volume, all a prelude to something that will be some time in the making and has just barely begun. Another great volume, can’t wait for 28!
VOLUME 26: CHAPTER 224-233 Arc 4: Arrancar: The Arrival Arc 5: Arrancar: The Hueco Mundo Sneak Entry
Chad is undergoing training with Renji. Urahara told Inoue that she must get away from the battle as Tsubaki, one of her Santen Kisshun, was destroyed while fighting Yammy and Ulquiorra. Inoue's ability is far superior as she have the same ability with Hacchi of the Vizard. Hacchi helps Inoue to recover Tsubaki. Aizen sets his eyes to Inoue's ability. Inoue then training with Rukia in Soul Society.
Grimmjow have been demoted from Espada and his position is replace by Luppi Antenor. 4 Arrancars come to hunan world to strike; Fallen Espada, Grimmjow Jaguerjacquez, Arrancar 77 Wonderweiss Mergera, Arrancar 10 Yammy Llargo and Arrancar 6 Luppi Antenor.
Grimmjow finds Ichigo and fights him. Ichigo used his Hollow form but he can only lasted for 11 seconds. He managed to injured Grimmjow. Suddenly, his mask break. Renji dispatched into the battle along with Urahara. Hitsugaya fights Yammy. Luppi wants 4-on-1 fight against Rangiku, Yumichika, Ikkaku and Hitsugaya. Luppi released her Zanpakutou: Trepadora. Four of them were overpowered by Luppi. Urahara come to help them.
Rukia went to human world first as the path to human world for Inoue is not ready yet. As the path is ready, Ulquiorra appears.
This one was building the action, definitely a good one. Summary: Renji is training chad under Urahara's orders as part of a deal to reveal secrets to Renji. Ichego continues his training with Hiyori. Oihime finds Ichego training and tells him about Aizen's plan. Orihime meets up with Yoruichi and they go to Urahara's shop. Uryu is training with his father and gets shot by his fathers arrow right above the heart allowing him to regain his power! Urahara tells orhime shes not going to be part of this battle. Orihime is sad and runs off to talk to Rukia about it. While talking to Rukia, Hiyori shows up and takes Orihime telling her "Hachi says he needs you". Hachi heals Orihime's powers so now she can fight.
Aizen creates another arrancar and sends Ulquiorra and Grimjow on a mission. Yammy V Toshiro. Luppi V Ikkaku. Grimmjow v Ichego (round 2). Yammy steps back and lets Luppi fight all four of the soul reapers. They are getting beat up when Urahara comes in to save the day. Ulquiorra mission was to capture Orihime...
I loved the different training montages throughout this volume, and I loved how Chad and Orihime’s unique powers got a focus. I loved seeing the different character speculate on the origins of their powers and where they come from, especially the small foreshadowing that they may be classified as beings that are something other than plain human. I liked the sudden start of the third Arrancar invasion, and I thought it was interesting seeing Grimmjow’s replacement for sixth Espada. I liked seeing Rukia and Orihime train, I really like their friendship and how it was highlighted here. It was cool seeing Orihime interact with the Visoreds, especially Hachigen, who has similar powers through Kidō. I liked the cliffhanger ending and how it immediately raised the stakes and I’m looking forward to the conclusion in the next volume.

I don't remember having many strong feelings about Orihime when I was younger, but reading through again now, I just really love her and her powers. Hachi is also such a gem, and I loved his point about certain powers not being suited for combat, which I think is such a lovely point to make in a story that really has a lot of combat as the focus. Protecting and healing (and even differing types of powers through zanpakuto) are also so important and needed and should be prized and not looked down upon (and I love how much support characters like Hachi and Orihime have (especially Orihime in this volume!)). I'm rambling, but I'm just really loving going through this series again.
Urahara asks Renji to help train Chad so that he will be able to fight the Arrancars. Orihime says she wants to fight along with the others but Urahara convinces her that she is too weak. She is then offered help by Rukia. There's a new Sexta Espada named Luppi Antenor since Grimmjow got his arm sliced off by Tôsen and is now seen as useless. Some of the Espada come down to Karakura and begin fighting the Soul Reapers. Grimmjow seeks out Ichigo and they begin to battle. All seems well for Ichigo until his hollow mask breaks because he can only remain in that form for seconds.
I wasnt expecting Orihime to play a bigfer role in this volume, but it was interesting to see. I wosh that she was getting trained by Hachi, since they have the same abilities, but I love seeing Rukia and Orihime bond more as friends. I also wish there were more scenes of us seeing how Orihime is trained. Oh well.. I'm happy Tsubaki is fixed!
I wonder when Uryu will reuinte with the others and if he will join to fight in the war. I also wonser if he will find a way to get his abilities back without his dad.
I'm really interested in seeing Urahara fight the espadas...
