Thirty-four original patterns from the heart of a knitting community. For more than two and a half decades, a shop called Northampton Wools has been the center of an ever-widening community of knitters seeking creative yet classic designs. Linda Daniels takes readers into the heart of this community, and into her shop, which has become a destination for knitters from across the country. A good basic starter book.

And a good one to fill that spot in your library. I do not mind the hats and scarves. The swatters are ok but take concentration and time. I purchased the book at I time when I thought I would expand my repertoire. Never did so I cannot say how the sweaters would come out. The pictures look good and the directions look clear.

Patterns are very appealing - not as far out as some of the current books. Have already purchased yarn for 2 of the projects and I WILL FINISH THEM.
