The photographs are what sets this book apart. They are simply superb, featuring babies from newborns to toddlers, as well as a couple of landscape shots. Most of the babies are shown close-up, which usually delights very young viewers. There are only a few sentences in this book (about one per two page spread) but they are lovely too.
Not only are the photographs captivating for young babies, but the book's format works well, too. It is a board book that is not too large and is square-shaped with a bit of a padded cover that probably handles chewing well!

This is a good book to give to a new mom. The story itself is simple and touching. The pictures are vibrant and adorable. My 11 month old loves looking at the babies and turning the sturdy pages. I love being reminded of how special each day and everything in it can be.
