If you can get beyond some of the subject matter, this is a well-written book. But if there was ever a book that needed an epilogue, this one is it. I was looking for another chapter or a wrap up. What happened to Deborah and her baby? Jolene and Sandy? What does Lela end up doing? It would have been good to see a snapshot of 5 years later. I mean, why develop characters and just leave them in the midst of the story? Overall, I liked the book.

Should never have picked this book with a 3 star rating. It was written about very raw harsh topics and I'm sorry I ever read it.
