Teddy realizes he drank too much at the office Christmas party when he wakes up in a hotel room with confused memories of a night of fierce, fabulous sex and a man asleep beside him. He doesn't know how his outrageous behavior will be judged by his boss, but he'll find out soon... when his boss wakes up.
Clare took the pen name London from the city where she lives, loves, and writes. A lone, brave female in a frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home, she juggles her writing with her other day job as an accountant. She’s written in many genres and across many settings, with award-winning novels and short stories published both online and in print. She says she likes variety in her writing while friends say she’s just fickle, but as long as both theories spawn good fiction, she’s happy. Most of her work features male/male romance and drama with a healthy serving of physical passion, as she enjoys both reading and writing about strong, sympathetic and sexy characters.
Clare currently has several novels sulking at that tricky chapter 3 stage and plenty of other projects in mind . . . she just has to find out where she left them in that frenetic, testosterone-fuelled family home.

Clare also writes as Stella Shaw and launched a new series of rent boy romances in 2021.
London's offering from 2009s Mistletoe Madness event tells the brief story of MC Teddy waking up the morning after his work Christmas party, naked in a hotel room, with his boss sleep beside him... a boss Teddy has longed after for months.
This was a tasty little morning after tale, showcasing some flashback moments between Teddy and his boss, Marshall, and how they ended up in bed together.
Ultimately I was hoping for something a little more fun and fluffy, instead Teddy's guilt and shame were a bit too much for me, taking some of the potential enjoyment away from the cheeky romp this could have been. However, I did like that there had been some long-term mutual pining going on, which is finally admitted in the light of day once insecurities are pushed aside.
A short story about waking up with a hang over and realize that you are waking up with someone else. One that you have crush on for a long time. Uhm, your boss *g*. I enjoy this one, it's pretty cute.
Part of Dreamspinner's 2009 Christmas anthology, this is a spicy little festive tale from Clare London.
Focusing on the morning after the office Christmas party, this is a fun read as Teddy gradually becomes aware that the hot wet dream he thought he'd had about his boss might have been a little bit real.
It's a cute peek into the start of a relationship between two men who've been dancing around each other for a while.
#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.
Page after page after page of the main protagonist freaking out about who he's ended up in bed with, then another page or two of him freaking out because he actually likes the guy he ended up in bed with, more freaking out because he feels like dominant passion is somehow wrong, and then, thank gods, it's over.
Not too impressed about a guy who's freaking out and waking up forget about 'everything' he did the night before after just not even a glass of champagne. And all the explanation about what happened 'last night' came from Marshall seemed like they're teenagers, not an adult. I don't think Teddy is ready for Marshall. Not a good start to begin a relationship. Just saying.
this kind of ended just when it started to get interesting. the MC was pretty boring in his worrying for the whole first half the book. once the other MC wakes up it was interesting but that wasn't till like half way into it
Teddy wakes up next to his boss. He is mortified when the memories of previous night start coming back. That is not him at all. The first half of the story is Teddy remembering and worrying. It's an ok story with perfect title. You won't miss much if you skip it though.
This had the makings of a really good story. It was a nice read, about the morning after the night before. Poor Teddy has no idea what happened the previous night, and who he's woken up with. His embarrassment was palpable, I cringed for him.
When he finds out it's his boss, he totally freaks out. Lots of panic, embarrassment and wringing of hands follows. In the end, fortunately, all is well. I really felt that these two had potential, but it seemed to end just as it was getting interesting. Would like to read more about these two.
3.5 stars. It's a cute story that spans a very short time.
Teddy wakes up and realizes that his hot dreams last night were real events and panics. I felt for Teddy, I'd panic if I woke up in a hotel room and couldn't remember what happened or who I was with.
These two have been dancing around each other for a while, but Teddy doesn't have the confidence to believe that Marshall is interested in him. I was happy to see Marshall be more open about his intentions and set Teddy on the right path.
A short but sweet (in a hot-as-heck kind of way) read about an office party that leads to a steamy one night stand with our Mc's hot boss. While our MC feels completely unworthy of his boss, we discover that the hot boss is totally smitten with our MC. Getting past his own self-esteem issues is what truly stands in the way of his happiness. Now, if he can only see what his boss does...
As someone who can talk herself into romance rather easily I could appreciate the way both Marshall and Teddy could talk themselves out of it like pros. Talk about reading all the signals so very wrong. I really enjoyed the story but was grateful the sex was mostly just skimmed over, if in a very effective way. As it was shaping up as something so not my cup of tea. That being said, it was a lovely and easy read. That made you shake your head and root for these two clueless boys.
Short story about office sex with the boss that has the potential of becoming more.
Although it is a bit contradicting; Teddy wakes up from a night he has trouble remembering. When he realises what has happened he is utterly shocked and embarrassed about his one night stand with his boss. He's being described as shy and meek but turns into the alpha lion in bed taking charge!
Teddy and Marshall have both wanted each other but neither acted on it. After drinking too much at a Christmas Party, Teddy spends the night with Marshall. When Teddy wakes up and realizes what happened, he is embarrassed. Marshall wakes up and convinces Teddy that it was mutual and to give them a chance. Teddy agrees with Marshall before continuing their activities from the night before.
One Night Stand is the right title for the book. While there is a glimpse of more at the end, I didn't see an emotional connection between the two characters.
Teddy has been admiring his boss Mashall for months and finds himself next to him in bed after a Christmas party and some champagne. We don't get to see much more than Teddy remembering some hot sex in a few flashbacks, other memories of his of the months before and his longing to have Marshall as a lover. When Marshall wakes up and indicates returned interest, they clear the air and end up having sex again.
While the descriptions of their interactions were excellent, the fact that most of the explanations came in flashbacks prevented me from really connecting, I think. It felt as if I wasn't really there, always one step removed. I think these two have potential, though, and would definitely like to read more about them.
This was a nice Christmas holiday short story about the "morning after" the company holiday party. Teddy wakes up recalling a very hot, very vivid dream. That is, until he realizes it wasn't a dream and there's a body in bed with him. And, it's his boss, Marshall, who has been the object of Teddy's secret desires for months. He tries to apologize but Marshall wants no part of that. Marshall wants what he got, and he wants more of it. The guys finally accept the inevitable and enjoy their happy morning in bed. Short story but very nicely written and an enjoyable read.
Teddy drank to much at the company Christmas party, the next morning he wakes up in bed with a man, has a panic attack, until the other man wakes up and calms him down, then its a smutfest. This was a cute book that was pretty much sex for the most part minus the panic attack in the middle. But a cute little holiday book.
