Continuing with the adventures of certified medical nurse Breanna Baylor, book three of the Angel of Mercy series follows Breanna into the mountains west of Denver. There, she becomes the prisoner of outlaws who hope to use her medical expertise to prevent the spread of scarlet fever in their slave labor camp. But when Breanna outlives her usefulness, she finds her life at risk as she hopes for survival and prays for a miracle in Captive Set Free.

Probably the most preachy of all the books. If you don’t like to be preached to in a book, this is not for you. I felt so scared for my soul, I actually repented during one of the parts. I rated the book four stars, because, once you got past the gospel being shoved down your throat, the plot was really interesting.
It was so painful to read but I never not finish a book so I persevered. I have been going through my book shelves and reading books I have had for years and not read. I could barely get through this one. Men are going missing and assumed to be kidnapped. When the nurse Breanna is also kidnapped, the local sheriff sets out to find who is responsible. When he is also kidnapped, Breanna's fiance comes to the rescue and finds everyone.
