Sid & Sin #3

Shifter Secrets (Sid & Sin #3)

Rate this book
Sid and Sin, as usual, have a lot going on . Pranks against the shifters have escalated to vandalism, with each new incident pushing the risks higher. Old feuds are resurfacing, and when your family lives for centuries, old feuds can get very old indeed. And Grandma Fortin has given Micah and his stepson Nico a place to stay since home is where, when you show up, they have to take you in. Lovely. Sarcasm intended. Sid doesn't have time for his games, but Nico is more than willing to play. The more he's around, the harder it is to stay focused as she and Sin race the clock trying to stop the saboteur before the shifters, and every other supernatural in Belle Cove, are outed to the world, all while trying to keep the centuries-old family politics in the past where it belongs. Check out the third book in this five-star series that people say "mixes magical issues with mundane, making it believable."

I loved this book. I mean, all three of the Sid and Sin books were amazing, but this one was incredible! I thought I had certain parts of the story figured out, only for the next page to point and laugh at me. I love when I'm wrong while reading a book, because it means the author did the unexpected. The out of the ordinary. Most definitely a five star read, one I would tell everyone I know to enjoy.

This has been my favorite in this series so far. I even discovered that Sid is my favorite character throughout this book. I loved watching the growth of this family and the new characters appear more to round out the group. I can’t wait for the next installment to see what happens next for the twins!

I’m having such a good time reading the Sid & Sin series, and just bought book 4. These books are fun, with different magic, but also interesting, mysterious, and partly romantic (but without the X-rated love scenes.). The author has a different take on some of the powers of the shifters, which is nice; not the same-old stuff. These are well-written, with a definite plot to each book, but it helps to read them in order so you’re familiar with the characters. I highly recommend these books.

While I really enjoyed the first two books in this series, this one is my favorite! Sin gets married, Sid starts hooking up with a shifter. Then secrets start being unburied, deadly secrets. Will these secrets cost anyone their life? Will they cause things to fall apart in this small town? This is an amazing story that will just pull you right in and leave you wanting more!
