After a party Kate and Paul start to write each other. The letters reveal their very different political convictions, but even so they can't stop themselves from falling in love with each other.
What, this book has no reviews? Ah, so much pressure! Okay, lemme see...
I loved this book. Kate and Paul are two vastly different people who still manage to stay civil when they argue with each other - mostly. They become pen pals after a random decision and you get to see the evolvement of their relationship. They grow very close, but ultimately struggle with their different ideologies and expectations of life.
I LOVE this book. I remember reading it as a child, but I have no idea where I got it. When I reread it as an adult, I still liked it. I have always had a thing for epistolary stories and I think this one is a particularly good one. Kate and Paul's relationship feels so real: they argue, they make up, they say they hate each other and then they're there for each other in times of need. This story is about how to handle vastly different points of view while still liking each other.
This book will always have a special place in my heart and I'm sure I'll read it again in the future.
