Great reference book covering many aspects of conservation, from basic ecological concepts to designing and managing protected areas and larger issues like environmental ethics and the balance between development and conservation. Many real life examples and a wealth of statistics (albeit prone to being outdated) add color to the discussions.

Sách do nhóm tác giả Việt Nam, bao gồm bác Võ Quý biên soạn.
Các kiến thức khá cơ bản về bảo tồn, và còn có 1 chương riêng viết thêm về tình hình Việt Nam.

Một số ý hay ho note lại cho mình:
1. Sinh thái học phục hồi:
- Không hành động
- Khôi phục
- Cải tạo (phục hồi lại ít nhất một số chức năng của hệ sinh thái)
- Thay thế
2. Phát triển có hạn chế: sử dụng một phần diện tích đất cho phát triển kinh tế, những phần đất còn lại được bảo vệ bằng các hình thức bảo tồn có trợ giúp.
