Review for the trilogy:

This series is about a teenage girl who happens to stumble into a parallel universe where people mistakenly assume she is her alternate, genius, self. The life of the genius is in danger. These books are great short reads, they are full of action and are very fast paced. They keep the reader hooked.

The characters are quirky. I ADORE them. I seriously did not think I would love these characters as much as I do now after finishing the third book. The story is compelling and the writing by the author is fantastic and surely whimsical at points.
I loved the romance between Laney and Noah so much. Star crossed lovers. Their romance definitely adds up to the amazing story it already was. As a reader you are rooting for them.

This series is great for readers who are looking for a fast paced, action packed, romantic, quirky and still want substance to their story. This series was more than just romance or action. It had a layer of trust and friendship which is a beautiful thing to discover while reading.

“Would you risk everything to get home?”

Three parallel worlds. One supernova. How hard could it be?

Laney Carter needs to go home. Except the journey back will be as dangerous as staying.

Thanks to her genius scientist “alternate self”, she’s been stuck on an alternate world, tormented by her alter egos, being hunted by secret organizations. Her life in constant peril.

Laney has to trust a radical theory to cure her bizarre condition and return to her original dimension before the forces threatened by her existence catch up to her.

What would she be willing to sacrifice to go back to her normal teenage life?

Everything? Her life? Her heart? The destruction of the multiverse?

It’s a race against time and fate to defy the odds on this unique, fast-paced sci-fi adventure.

Total Score: 5/5

Summary:
Imagine you are an average girl who found herself drawn into an alternate universe and a fight she had nothing to do with? Laney’s life was changed forever when she met Noah, but no one had any idea the consequences that would occur after Laney joined them. Laney was allowed to return home with her memories wiped until they realized the consequences of taking Laney into their universe. Now Noah and his friends are determined to find a way to save Laney, but they still don’t understand how their actions may threaten multiple universes. If that isn’t bad enough the Alliance, a group across dimensions, is determined to prevent interdimensional travel at any cost.

This is a fast paced sci-fi that allows the reader to experience Laney’s dangerous journey to save herself and her friends. The idea of the perfect mate and star crossed love between Laney and Noah added a deeper level to the plot. This is an incredible book and series.

I really enjoyed this 3rd installment of the Selfless series by S. Breaker. There was so much action and suspense that I really couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to read what happens next, and I so hope Noah & Laney get to stay together as they are so perfect for one another & I'm a sucker for happy endings.

Where do I sign up for ‘space folding’?
I’ve loved this kind of stuff since I was a young kid (started on Asimov in third grade). K-drive, memory serums, quantum jump platform, space-time continuum, transdimensional locator beacon (lo-jack), Zeta devices…

Unfortunately, it doesn’t take an apocalypse to wipe out languages and cultures. We spend so much effort to fit in and to blend, that we do not pass down our heritage nor do we learn more about it. I was in my early twenties and already married before I knew what my ethic backgrounds were [English, Irish, Scot-Irish, and a wee bit of Native American (Cherokee & Seminole)]. Have I done any research? No. Have I learned any of those languages? No. Have I reached out to possible relations? No.
So, let’s learn more about our own heritage as well as that of other peoples. Perhaps we’d then avoid a politically-fed motivated apocalypse…

Another important message in this is to not sacrifice ethics and morality in order to advance your own goals.

I thought the author’s take on primaries was pretty cool. And the chapter names, too.

Some sage advice from the author when visiting a know location while dimension hopping:
‘Maybe you should limit your interactions with the natives.’

Fave quote:
‘I’m about to get barbecued in a supernova.’

Be on the lookout for orange cones in your dimension…

Our heroine has been drawn into other dimensions and has to fight to stay alive and figure out what it going on when all she really wants is a return to her normal humdrum life.

This is book three in the series. It works pretty well as a standalone, but I think it would work better from the beginning. I know I had to struggle a bit to catch up when I started.

The story is well written and easy to read, but not necessarily easy to grasp. There is a lot going on here, both in terms of action and mystery as our heroine (and the readers) try to come to grips with everything going on. I found the story to be fast paced and engaging, as I found myself continuously going for just one more page. I like our heroine and appreciate that she sticks with it even when things get rather rough. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to going back to the beginning to give it another go.

Highly recommended

The stakes are higher, the emotions run deeper, the multiverse is bigger - and stranger - than they ever imagined! Through an accident of genetics and chance Laney finds herself pulled out of a normal, high school existence and thrown into an adventure where her very existence could mean the end of worlds.

This is book 3 in the series and while the first two could be read independently, I think this book benefits from the background in the previous books. It really builds and expands on the world(s), characters and technology that have been introduced and explored previously. Before the action was primarily confined to one alternate reality - now it just explodes (in more was than one!) This book starts to explore the ramifications of the multiverse and opens all sorts of interesting cans of worms. Non-stop action and a bit of a twist on the romance side.

Such a fun, action-packed ride! I normally don't read sci-fi but this was fast-paced and never let up! I loved the slow burn and the mounting tension between them! I do wish the ending had been a bit different. It felt too easy, like a cop-out. I wish she had been the one to choose instead of it just happening to her. But still, really enjoyed this series!

This was the most action-packed book of the whole series! So much happened, and I absolutely love how it ended. I was left wondering what was going to happen all the way to the end of the last chapter, but in a good way. So many twists and turns, and I loved every minute of it! Yet another unputdownable book and series by this author!

Full of non-stop, fast-paced action building on a wonderfully-woven story of alternative realties, this is one book you won't be able to put down. This book truly expands on the story woven so far - my favourite of the series so far. A great read!

The story could use an epilogue. It feels a tad unfinished. It was good and kept me on the edge of my seat but the ending just didn't satisfy my emotional need to know more. Overall good and clean. Loved Laney and Noah

Great ending to this wonderful series...or was it?
The book opens with the "WOW" factor and keeps the wonder going right up until the cliff-hanger ending.
