Journalist Aaron Page's life is turned upside down when an investigation into east London's sex trade results in the murder of a young prostitute. Two years on, with the fallout from the girl's death having claimed his career and his relationship, Aaron is dragged back in to the world he has tried to forget when her killer is found dead in suspicious circumstances.

Loath to confront his past but desperate to find closure to the events that took everything he held dear, Aaron investigates where the police refuse to and he begins to peel back the terrifying layers of a murderous organisation.

As the scale of this amorphous group becomes clearer, Aaron must enlist the help of an unlikely ally to bring down its mysterious leader and complete his own journey to redemption.

A lively and satisfying read. This author writes well and keeps the energy and interest flowing. There is a tightly managed plot and plenty of room to develop these characters in future stories. Looking forward to them.

Didn’t know what to expect from this new author but I have to say the book is a triumph! A interesting take on the crime thriller series with the main protagonist as a journalist. The book is a page turner from the start to finish. The book takes you into the depths of the east end underworld, to discover it’s seedy roots with lots of twists and turns. Excellently written and I cannot wait to read his next book!
