A gentle read short story with a glimpse into small town life.

Really enjoyed this little slice of small town life. Willowstone and its cast of characters will be instantly recognisable to anyone who came of age in the 00s, went to university and/or moved to the big city. I really liked the main character’s relationship with Jefferson, and Tom writes especially well about rugby! Recommended!!
This short story perfectly captures the charm and bittersweet pull of small-town life. Willowstone feels so real, a place full of memories, friendships, and lessons that stay with you no matter where you go. Will’s journey is gentle, reflective, and deeply relatable for anyone who’s ever called a quiet town home. A simple yet heartfelt read that lingers like a fond memory.
