HoNOS-LD: Health of the Nation Outcomes Scales for People with Learning Disabilities
A set of outcome scales for use in day-to-day work to measure changes in people with learning disabilities who have additional mental health needs.
Each pack contains instructions for use, 10 outcome sheets, a report on the development and effectiveness of HoNOS-LD and optional software to enable users to collect and analyse data.
HoNOS-LD can be used by a range of professionals including psychiatrists, psychologists and behavioural support workers. It does not replace diagnostic tools, but provides a useful way of assessing global changes in people undergoing treatment.
The tool was developed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Faculty of Learning Disability and the British Psychological Society’s Centre for Clinical Outcomes Research and Effectiveness, in consultation with people with learning disabilities.
