Tiger shifter Dakota Alcott's entire life is one series of adventures. She calls them adventures to feel better about all of her failures. The truth is, she is looking for her place. Her people. Herself. When she interviews for Nick Milan's protection company, she has hope that this might be it.Awkward genius Bennett Huxx has more degrees and Ph.Ds than he has had girlfriends -- and sexual experiences, but he isn't going to think about that just now. He needs to focus on the shifter serum his friend Gray needs help with. He won't be distracted by the beautiful bodyguard Gray hired to keep an eye on him. Or so he thinks. But Dakota is way too enticing to be resisted. When a mysterious band of men attacks Bennett and Dakota to get to the serum, a decision has to be made to save his life. Gawky Bennett is replaced by one sexy shifter. He wants to protect Dakota, but as it turns out? The feisty tigress just might save him.
Milly Taiden (also writes as April Angel) was born in the prettiest part of the Caribbean (to her) known as the Dominican Republic. Currently, she resides in New York City with her husband, bossy young son and their little dog Speedy.
When she’s not working full-time, texting with her best friend Heidi in England, chastising her son for pulling the dog’s ears, shopping with her sister Jewel or watching scary movies with her husband, she can be found writing on her laptop.
She’s addicted to shoes, chocolate, Dunkin Donuts coffee and JIMMY THOMAS covers!!!
Why why is Gray’s mate fiancé suddenly named Blake? Can anyone explain. Gray’s mate is indeed Nick’s model cousin but in his own book her name is Skylar. Now in this book it’s Blake. These errors are annoying as hell. How does such a big mistake not get picked up.
I absolutely love this series! Dakota is looking for her place in the world as a tiger shifter she has speed, agility, and strength. When she has to chose to work for a slimy creep or interview with Nick for a bodyguard position, well her inner sense wins. Bennett is a geek who has more degrees than girlfriends. When Gray ask Bennett to come help him on something he has no ideal how much his world is about to expand. Throw in a hot cheek three more geeks and a board game and that should’ve been about exciting as they got. Nope right as Dakota realizes he’s her mate they try to take him from her. So not happening after a dose of serum a call to the geek squad for some help maybe just maybe they can save Bennett and the serum. If nobody else takes it first.
I really loved Dakota because she was just trying to find her place in the world just like so many of us struggle with on a daily basis. Bennett was adorable before and after becoming a shifter.. The government just can't seem to keep the bad guys in check.. Looking forward to see what comes next..
Welcome back to the sexy mad world of the Alpha Geek. Brainiac Bennett Huxx is socially awkward, slight of frame and wears oversized glasses. Tiger shifter Dakota Alcott may be searching for the right path but she thinks Bennett is adorkable. Her tiger thinks he’s her mate. This book ups the Alpha insanity up to mega. This is hot and hilarious.
Bennett was adorable and geeky before he became a tiger shifter who has agreed to help his friend out and when he is told that he would have a security person and that it is a female all seems well. Enter Dakota she has the interview for Nick’s protection company and becomes the head security person. They get attacked by a bunch of men for a serum. This story is really hot an like they way the characters interact together and the passion just comes together for the both of them. I have been reading this author for years and her stories keep getting better an better. I always look forward to the next book.
Seriously HOT! This is probably my favorite of the Alpha Geek books now. Dakota is kick a$$, ok so she has never seen things through but she is still tough as nails. Bennett is sweet and even though he is a geek... his inner Alpha starts to show through before events happen that force him to become a shifter. There were only two predictable things that happened in this book. Bennett becoming a shifter and the mating with Dakota. Everything else, totally did not expect and was on the edge of my seat.
Dakota has finally found a job she's suited for. She just knows she's got this one. It doesn't require serious social skills as a personal bodyguard for a scientist. She has to make this work. No real problems here...oops. No problems if she can keep her hands off him. Since he's her mate that might not be so easy.
Both of them are sure they are just in a simple babysitting situation. He knows there is something valuable but no one else should know. He figures he won't have a problem with keeping his hands off--why should she be interested in a geek like him.
Keeping apart is easier if they keep him busy it will be easier to resist each other. His two friends are fellow scientist geeks.
All goes well until danger hits. Will they escape? Will they live through it?
If you are a fan of the series you may have an idea of how they deal with the bad guys. But there are plenty of surprises, steam, and interesting characters.
Love this series, every book is great. Bennett, is asked to watch over his friend house and do some lab work, while his friend is away to get married. To work in lab, Bennett is told about existence of shifters. One of them will be his guard, during his stay at house. Dakota, can't find a job which keep her interested in, for longer. The bodyguard job is something she has been dreaming about. The moment she meet Bennett, she knows, he is her mate. She just has to keep him alive. Loved it and enjoyed a lot.
SEXY HOTTER THAN HADES ALPHA GEEK. If you do not EXTRA HOT BOOKS then pass this one up because hot isn 't even close to what this book is. Sexy Hot and Kick A**.males and females that definitely know how to handle them. Loved the book Awesome read.

Absolutely love this book and this series. While reading it it brought to mind of the old movie about nerds revenge....no revenge in this book, but had the nerds been able to shift in the movie it would have been awesome. I am in love with this authors style and insight to bring the real life injustice of humans being shamed or put down because of their body's shape or size. In this book the men version of body shame is shown and how they changed it. If you love shifters, shape-shifting, and lots of loving you will love this Geek series.

Another fantastic book from the alpha geek series. Newly hired protector Dakota is assigned to protect geeky scientist Bennett, with no training and no weapons other than her own claws, things head south fast! And when she calls his three geeky friends in to help save her newly found mate, things get really crazy.
Amazing story. I am loving this series sooo much. The Alpha Geeks are amazing and there stories are always full of adventure and romance. Dakota and Bennett are amazing together and I enjoyed there adventure to the end. Mated and babies are the best ending for a great adventure. Can’t wait for more.
This is Bennett and Dakota's story . This one is a slow start but trust me when I say it picks up and once it does just hold on ! Dakota is trying to find her place in hopes of finding what job she would be good at . After an interview that made her want to shower she heads to the one she truly wants . Nick is not too sure about her due to her past work history but is overruled . Bennett has agreed to help his friend out and when he is told that he would have a security person and that it is a female all seems well . Man what this author bought together was so good !! Follow the story with these two mates and their pack of Docs ! This is well written and recommended !
The was the best installment yet for this witty series. Bennet is almost more of a geek than the others were. He is the epitome of socially awkward, but so cute when faced with his mate. Dakota is the typical young woman trying to find her place within her family. This was a great read.
Loved it! Dakota was trying to find her place in the world and she found it with Bennet. After finding a new job and meeting her mate all hell brakes loose!
Awww this book has all the feels. To read the unexpected coming together of 2 halves becoming a whole was very epic indeed. Loved Bennett even with his self doubt he has a way with words to soothe Dakota's restless soul. Dakota falls for Bennett's brain and then some lol. I hope we get to read more of them in the future!
Likeable characters. Good fun read that spirals to add even more geeks turning into shifters in this series. Misses a couple of points for me but was an entertaining and fast paced read. This is my honest review of this book.

3.5 stars
This was a good addition to the series. Bennett is an old friend of Gray's (see previous books) and agrees to watch Gray's house while Gray is away for his wedding. Bennett is a pretty typical brilliant geek, lots of degrees at a young age and socially awkward. Dakota is a college dropout with a long history of failed jobs. She's got a trial as at a protection job, a job that should have been easy for a tiger shifter. All she has to do is protect a house and a geek, should be no problem. Within minutes of meeting each other Bennett and Dakota have an attraction that's pulling them together. Dakota is reluctant to give in until her job trial is over and Bennett is dealing with his own awkwardness around a woman he's attracted to. But when a simple job turns lethally dangerous, they'll need to come together to survive.
I had a lot of aspects that I did like, but I had trouble getting past a few issues. Dakota has zero experience in protection. I get that Nick was being pushed into hiring her and that they thought the job would be easy, but did he have no one that could at least give her a bit of a run down first. Or maybe have someone that was going to physically check on her from time to time. I felt like there was some gaps on how the bad guys managed to attack so easily. I did like that for all that the mate trope meant the romance went very fast, it didn't feel like a super fast romance. The characters were actually trying to get to know each other. There was a good chemistry between Dakota and Bennett.
Dakota Alcott is a tiger shifter and has never settled in any place as she looks for her people and - she describes them as adventures. She has an interview for Nick Milan's protection company and hopes this could be her final job change. Bennett Huxx has more degrees and PhDs than he has had girlfriends but is more focussed on the shifter serum his friend Gray needs his help with. He is determined not to let the beautiful bodyguard distract him (or at least that is his intention) but she seems to have a different idea. So when a mysterious group of men attacks Bennett and Dakota to get their hands on the special serum a snap decision has to be made to save Bennett's life after serious injuries and so Dakota does what she feels is necessary to save him and he is replaced with a very sexy shifter. In a battle of intention and who is in more danger than the other will they both survive?
I really enjoyed this book which had a lot of danger and drama built into the story as they both fought for each other's lives. I liked the relationship between Dakota and Bennett and how that developed into something much more meaningful. I loved the way that they both did what they needed to do in order to save the other as was their definite priority as mates. Well written and easy to read. Contains explicit sexual content.
I'm not sure I can name a favorite of this series any more. Once again, MT has brought to life a story that added to and expanded the series. This time we don't get just one new shifter... We get... well, you'll have to read to find out. Bennett and Dakota are a great pair. Their story starts differently than the others. Dakota has just been hired, on a 7 day trial period, and her first assignment is to watch over Gray and Skylar's house and Gray's friend Bennett. Bennett is there to look over Gray's research and see if he can help advance it in any way. They meet after every one has left for Skylar and Gray's wedding in Vegas. Dakota shows up and announces she is the bodyguard hired to protect Bennett and the house. After being told that it should be an easy op and they shouldn't have any trouble, they are attacked in Gray's house by mercenaries who fatally wound Bennett. After that, Dakota calls in some reinforcements to help her and Bennett and along the way there are a few complications, some much worse than others and some surprisingly good. I like the introduction of the new wolf pack that the author added to this story and I look forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
Another wonderful addition to this series of books Grey and Blake are going to visit Las Vegas to escape family and friends and elope and in doing so Grey as his friend Bennett if he would be willing to take care of the house why he is away, there is also the very precious shifter serum he has been developing and he is also entrusting its care to Bennett whilst he is away. Dakota is a Tiger shifter and she is well aware of the problems that shifters have to deal with as well as many of the limitations that no one seems to take into consideration, she has applied to work at the Nick Milan company and this is another very interesting addition to this wonderful story. I look forward to see where the story for Bennett and his friends if they have books of there own develop and take them, we will simply have to wait and see. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
This looked like it would be a fun light read, it definitely fit the light part. This book tried to hard to be cutesy. Dakota and Bennett for me were written in such a way that it came across as this is how the author thinks a geek is supposed, with tons of awkwardness and a self-defeatist attitude. While Dakota was the ever wandering, can’t keep a job for long, family screw up looking for a place to belong and prove herself.
Both characters were likeable, even with all of my eye rolling. There were so many things in the plot that made no sense at all. A double shifter? Things that were top secret that were just left at home?!?!? I could go on but that would basically tell you everything about the story.
Then it became how many times can we rub up against each other and get it on. What little there was of the story wasn’t enough to pull this out of the I will forget these two after the first chapter of my next book.

Dakota loves an adventure. She bores quickly however and never quite manages to see anything she starts through to the end! Her tiger is strong and she is smart. She just lacks a little...endurance.
Her new gig as bodyguard to a brainy geek seems like it should be an easy paycheck. But someone wants Bennett, what's in his head and the serum he has been working on. She can't say exactly why she feels a draw to the bespectacled braniac but she'll do what she must to keep him alive.
When Dakota finally realises what he means to her, somone makes the very bad move of trying to take her male from her. Stupid, stupid bad guy!
Bennett is sweet, nerdy and wonderfully naive. Dakota is strong, sexy and adorably flighty. Absolutely wonderful little gem!
This book barely gets started before the danger hits and the story gets juicy. The author took this geek on an entirely different path to a mate that is perfect for him. They both have a resilience that compliment each other and a love that grows into their own HEA. They manage to overcome so much adversity, including some misguided geeks, to finally land where they were always meant to be. Of course, there were more than a few twists and turns to the story along the way making the journey that much more enjoyable. I really hope the other continues this series as I have loved each and every book so far. But no matter what she brings us next I can’t wait to read it.
When Nick needs a new bodyguard to watch over Gray's house and the scientist who will be staying there while they all go to Vegas for Gray's wedding, he reluctantly hires Dakota.
But he doesn't tell either of them that they are in grave danger. Someone else in the government wants his newest shifter serum, at any cost.
When Dakota meets Bennett, the geek, she immediately knows that he's her mate. But protecting him comes first. When they are attacked, Ben is shot and Dakota injects him with the serum to save him.
When she calls his 3 best friends, all doctors, to make sure that he survives; they see the serum and I never themselves as well. Now Ben has a pack.
But when Nick and Gray come home to 4 new shifters will she lose her job?
When Bennett meets up with Gray again who is shortly going away to get married it is far from a normal reunion. A thirst for knowledge he is invited to study Gray’s work in his lab in adjacent to this he learns of shifters. A lot to process.
Dakota has had numerous jobs which have not lasted ling. When she is employed by Nick on a trial basis to protect Bennett she is needs it to go well. When they are put together they struggle to deal with the attraction, when their lives are threatened things move very quickly for this super cute couple.
Very much enjoyed reading their story
Would love if plans are being made to give Bennett’s 3 friends their own story.
