Freedom is something that is easily taken for granted, many never knowing what they have until it is stripped away. But not all hope is lost when second chances are given. As Sasha struggles to break free from her captivity to get back to the life she was seized from; she risks it all, including her precious humanity. Love has become worth fighting for, even if that means giving up everything that she is. The ups and downs of love can be as rocky as the shores, but as the tides turn, Etienne finds that no matter how turbulent the seas, he’s not letting anything stand in the way of his new purpose in life; he must save Sasha, even if it means saving her from herself. The saga continues as Sasha and Etienne are propelled forward through new family ties and into the line of fire of the most powerful moon of the year, the blood moon. As the cataclysm of the lunar eclipse unfolds, love finds a way to grow anew in the wake of dominant forces moving at a catastrophic speed.
What inspired you to write your first Novel? "My girlfriends and I were sitting around discussing our latest reads, all the perfect Cinderella type romance novels that are out there and how we would like to read something that more could relate to. I have been an avid reader since I was a child and love to write, so I decided to write something for us. A not so perfect love story; one that had a little humor, tied in some vampires, a little adult content, morally hard choices and was a satisfying read for all those hard working readers who want some good ole' junk food for the brain when they come home after a long day at work." Raised in California she moved to Colorado to pursue her education and fell in love with the area as well as her now husband.
Though Kristina loved her art and literature classes in college she put that to the side in order to start her career in nursing. After establishing her career she felt something was missing. While she adores being a nurse she felt her artistic side was calling and started to pick up her writing and painting again, setting aside a few hours a day on her day's off. After a period of time she found that her short story had grown into her first novel. Writing is a passion of hers and she feels the greatest achievement in her art is creating works that bring enjoyment to others.
She continues to reside in Colorado with her husband and children. Kristina is working on her third novel, part III of The Lunar Eclipse Series.
So there is so much going on in this book but a lot of answers after the following the first two books so closely. So it will be hard making this one spoiler free! All I can say is that Sasha is safe, loved and reunited with her children at a family event when she realises Etienne's true worth and background when meeting the parents. But would the event be all it seemed or be the beginning of something much bigger for the pair.
Extract: "For being so close to the love of my life, I have never felt further away"
Sasha is left emotionally scarred after her bad experience at the hands of Marcos and struggles through her fear returning to the life she had. Turning on the aspects of her life she shut down to keep herself intact. This made her so endearing to me. I can't put into words how strong Sasha is and how dearly I love this character. Etienne at her side the whole way. Along with their friends and family to help her, guide her and build her powers back to what they were and show her more of her abilities.
"I choose to love every aspect of you, darkest parts included. And you are absolutely perfect just the way you are. So, shut that pretty little mouth of yours and let me in so that our demons may play together in a harmonious symphony of passion..."
With more excitement towards the end of the book, I can only imagine where part 4 of the Lunar Eclipse Series will go but I am so excited for it. It can't come soon enough! By far, my favourite book of the series and I read it in less than a day because I simply couldn't put it down. Kristina Canady has done it again. A truly well deserved five star read.
*review by Susan on behalf of Ladies Living in Bookland I was very lucky to read and beta this book for Kristina - all opinions are my own
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This series gets better with each book. I have mentioned in both of my reviews for the first two books that this book is better than the Twilight Series and I stand by it.
This book begins where Marcos thinks he has the upper hand with Etienne. He feels that he has finally won Sasha over and ready to break the bond so he can bond with her but little does he know that Sasha has other plans.
After being held captive, we find Sasha turning herself off to everyone around especially Etienne. The scenes between the two of them are so gut wrenching and powerful that you could feel her pain and his struggle. It brought tears to my eyes.
Etienne is surrounding by many powerful men and women who can help Sasha control her gifts and heal her. Ang is the only one willing to slap Sasha in the face and tell her to wake up. I love the friendship between these two.
Sasha is still a bundle of nerves but she has to meet the family and not just the family but the Elders as well. They get their permission to wed and for the first time Sasha is happy to marry her one true love.
The history and wedding scene were so well written and explained all the questions that you could have about this wonderful group of people. I really like how this group of people have become not only friends but more of a family. They banter back and forth, laugh together, drink together, and protect each other.
This series is a must read. The way the wonderful author left this book had me trying to scroll through and read on!
I was given an ARC from the author and I am pleased to say that Kristina, once again, delivered an excellent novel! ***SPOILER ALERT*** Sasha is able to escape Marcos and is reunited with Etienne. After everything that she has been through, she finally chooses to embrace who she truly is and start fulfilling her destiny. She is introduced to the royal families, including Etienne’s, and a wedding finally takes place. This book answers a lot of questions and really starts tying in the loose ends of the first two books. It also evokes a lot of different emotions. I love Sasha and Ang’s innocent and funny bantering back and forth. They are both quite snarky and witty. Very entertaining! But then there were times that I was irritated and then really sad. Kristina does an amazing job at making you really connect with the characters and at one point, my eyes were starting to spring a leak. When I reached the end of the book, so many questions were answered, and then new ones evolved. I love this series and I absolutely can’t wait for the next book. As you will see, there is so much more to come. Sasha’s new life is really just truly beginning…..
I loved this book! Carrying on from book 2, with Sasha doubting everything she thought she knew, suddenly she is back where she belongs, but she's not the woman she was. Part three in this series is a masterful exploration of the effects on Sasha of all that's happened to her and how she finds her way back to the person she wants to be. Exploring her relationship with Etienne from a new point of view, she has to work out how to make her vampire life work in tandem with her life as a human mother. Ms Canady is the queen of paranormal, not afraid to take a new route to create a convincing and fascinating world. Now I can't wait to find out what happens next!
I was given an ARC for my honest review. And I absolutely loved this installment, and am pretty sure it might be my favorite! Finally, Sasha has come back around and won me over again after her spell, which I couldn't blame her for considering everyone processes grief differently. And Etienne remains the lovable alpha- ass who shows us a new side of himself. It leaves us wanting more in the end but gives us enough to get us over until the next installment. I love reading new indie authors and seeing their growth in the craft, well done!
This is the third book in the series. Make sure to read in order to really enjoy them. The series is for mature readers only due to some very hot scenes. To avoid spoilers, I'm doing a short review.
Answers are finally revealed and some new interesting things happen to the main couple and to their loved ones. Expect a few twists and turns. The romance does heat up.
If you enjoy paranormal romance then you will want to read this series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
Well it's been a few months since I was first introduced to Etienne and Sasha's story. A human who falls in love with a vampire, only to discover she herself is a vampire as well. And not just any ol' lady vamp, one of the most powerful beings to date! How cool is that? Kristina Canady is back with book 3 in her Lunar Eclipse series, Irrevocable Midnight. See my review below:
Irrevocable Midnight picks right up where Midnight Unveiled left off. Sasha is still under Marcos' evil clutches. Her and Etienne fight to find each other, but it doesn't look good. Marcos has eyes and ears everywhere making it almost impossible for there to be any hope of a reunion between the torn lovers. My biggest pet peeve about Sasha in the last two books was her inability to see past her own wants and needs. She kicks off book three like a straight ninja! She's learned enough about the power she harbors and uses them to her advantage! While this caused a slight set back for her, we definitely get to see Sasha at her best in this book. You also get to see a side of Etienne that was not present in the other books. His love for Sasha is unquestionable, but you begin to understand and feel what he was sacrificed to be with her. Once Sahsa realizes it, she love for Etienne goes off the charts. I really loved reading this book. Irrevocable Mignight is truly a journey of love. I could feel the desperation in both characters as they tried to find each other. Sahsa and Etienne are a lot alike in many aspects, they both don't like to be challenged, they both want things their way, when they want it, and they both love hard. They fell into this domestic state that was so fun to read. Sasha lets Etienne lead because she knows that's what he needs and in return, Etienne allows Sasha to be her spit fire self. He actually loves the fact that she doesn't follow their traditional vampire roles, and he doesn't try to shape her to fit into a mold. He accepts her 100% powerful vampire and all. Sasha is learning how to harvest her power appropriately, and I was so glad to see her settle into her new found life. We're introduced to a lot of new characters, some old, who all play a pivotal role in Sasha and Etienne's relationship. Even with the different characters running around, you do not get distracted from the main story. While I'm sad the series has ended for now, Krisitna is a naughty minx and has opened the door to possibly a new story that I'm really excited about. If you thought Sasha and Etienne were a force to be reckoned with, just wait...
4.5 stars for an awesome story of letting your inner Goddess rock out, a love that has no limits, a kick ass heroine, smoking hot vampire, and more to come!
I received a free advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. If you read my previous reviews for this series, you know that I struggled with it because I absolutely could not stand the lead female character, Sasha. I was really worried that I would continue to hate her in this book. In fact, the first time I ever liked her in this series was in this book when she was catatonic! Luckily, she became more tolerable. Yay! She is less self-absorbed and seems to be trying more to accept her fate and work on her relationship with Etienne.
Etienne continues to be the stronghold in the story for me. I have a good picture of him and his accent in my head, and I like what I have imagined. I only wish we could see more of him. He is this dark and mysterious character - the dark to Sasha's supposed light - so there is a ton of room to delve into his pysche and tortured past. His is an excellent caretaker of Sasha, making the difficult decisions and not giving up on her even when she is an unforgivable witch. The dominant side of him that we get to see of him in this book gave me a little tingle... so hopefully that becomes more detailed in future books.
We get introduced to a slew of new characters in this book - all good additions to the story. There is more action, and more plot, without some of the drama that we saw in Midnight Unveiled. My favorite new character is Sasha's father... I absolutely love him. I look forward to future antics and hope they are able to build a fun and healthy relationship. There was more history regarding vampire mythology, and we saw more interaction with the Goddess Nannau. I give kudos to Nannau for putting up with Sasha's behavior so far and not smiting her down or something... but she continues to be kind and benevolent and guide Sasha where she is able.
Warning: There is a cliffhanger in this book and the next one is not due out until 2016. The subject of the cliffhanger is a bit predictable if you have been paying attention. If you are impatient like me... you will be yelling at the end of the book.
If you picked up the earlier books of this series and struggled like I did, I urge you to continue on because I feel like the series is really starting to resonate. Or you could think I am totally crazy and don't understand why I had issues with Sasha in the first place. That is possible. I have been reading these books while I have been sick and feeling like crap, so I have had less patience in my reading. It is not inconceivable that I would have felt differently if I would have read these a month ago.
Oh my gosh holy crap this series is great!!! Sasha had previously had doubts of Etienne not sure if he was her true sole mate and the person she wanted to spend her life with. With everything going on to her separation of her ex (in the second book) and then to her subsequent kidnapping, and ALSO the manifestation of her abilities Sasha had faced hurdle after hurdle in her life. Internally she struggled with everything doubts in herself as a mother, as a mate and lover to Etienne. This book was a rollercoaster of heartfelt emotion but still that beautiful connection that this young woman has with the one that is made for her.
Ang is freaking hilarious and of course to have a character that is witty and willing to tell the main heroine "hey wake up and look around to what's going" on speaks a lot of in itself. With Sasha on the verge of a mental breakdown Ang is there every step of the way to left her up and guide her which is definitely what best friends do. Etienne of course any alpha male for me is always so freaking hot (I know I'm a totally man hog) but to have a hot guy be supportive, lift you up and be there for u speaks in itself. I sometimes did get a little upset with Sasha because she would get angry and lash and push him away, but it was also her only line of emotion defense that she had to use without drawing him down into her scattered emotions. Etienne still is possessive of his mate and a tad little overbearing at times, but with everything that she had been thru with Marcos it kind is understandable why he sometimes is overprotective. There is some raw emotion between characters and Ms. Canday has done a great job in making sure it has captured the readers attention in this third book. Well Done. :D :D :D
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
*Please not this is not the end but still the beginning of a lot of things for Sasha and company to face she has more things to encounter and a lot more things to learn and discover out there in the vampire world and of course a lot more perils to tackle.
Irrevocable Midnight Part III is book three in the Lunar Eclipse Series. The series must be read in order. I picked up this series after someone mentioned it was like the Twilight series. I devoured the whole series in a few days. I do have to say that I did not find it anything like Twilight. I loved it from the very beginning. The whole series has a great storyline that kept it interested in reading it the whole way through.
This one takes off where part II left off. Sasha and Etienne are still apart but that will not last long and how they reunite is crazy and not easy are either of them. Sasha has a long journey back to finding herself and being whole again. I love Etienne. This whole situation has been hard o him but he has never lost hope. Sasha's best friend, Ang, continues to be a strong and supporting friend. When Sasha needs a reality check, Ang is there to give it to her.
Sasha finds out about Etienne's family and gets to meet them. There is a lot going on in the book. I thought that this book was going to be the end of the series but it's not. The ending definitely left me wanting more. I can't wait to see where this series goes next.
Irrevocable Midnight is the 3rd book of the Lunar Eclipse series. It starts where book 2 left off Sasha dealing with being held captive. Etienne dealing with trying to find her. Both losing their strength due to the separation. Marcos strong dark magic blocking them from connecting through their bond. Dream walking is the key if they can hold the dreams long enough. Marcos is determined to keep her and never let her go. Can Etienne find his soul mate and save her before they both lose what strength they have. Can Sasha keep her hope alive and believe Etienne will come for her. Will they ever have their bonding ceremony and finally be together forever. Find out by getting this amazing book!
This series just keeps getting better and better!! This picks up where the 2nd book left off with Sasha trying to escape. When she does she's not the person who she was and it takes all her old friends and new ones to help her get back. So much is happening in this book that you just don't want to put it down until you reach the last page and then you're wanting the next book.
This book has surprises for Sasha, new characters that shake up others. I can't wait to find out what happens next and want to know more of the different side stories that are part of this book. A great job and a must read!!!
Love Love this series!! Book 3 picks up right where we left off in 2 Sasha is still being captive and Etienne is on his mission to find a way to save his mate. It is a long road for them both Dream Walking to try and stay connected and to keep themselves alive, Marcos has been cruel and nasty causing damage that will not be easily fixed. It will take all of the people Sasha cares for to help get her back to the person she was before she was taken. Great things are happening in this book events you have been waiting for since the beginning!! And of course all of the characters you have loved are back for more. Get this book it is amazing!!
Irrevocable Midnight is book three in the Lunar Eclipse Series must be read in order or you will be lost. So it picks up right where book 2 left off, it ends in a cliffhanger. I felt a lot of emotions towards Sasha in this book which I hadn't felt in book 1 or 2, more connected to her. The emotions in this book are all over the place and at times I thought it might be too much for me. The story is getting stronger and so are the characters. I wasn't too sure about the series when I first started but have come to enjoy reading about Sasha and Etienne. This book is full of love, compassion, danger and learning to love yourself in order to love someone else.

The pain and agony from book 2 continues into this book. I know it sounds cliché but, oh the feels I felt while reading this. There were times it was overwhelming. Sasha has finally been rescued from her prison only to risk losing her humanity. Going through the emotions through her point of view, it is understandable. My heart breaks when we are given Etienne’s point of view. It’s all so painfully brilliant. The good, the bad, and everything in between makes this installment perfection, in my opinion.
Irrevocable Midnight picks up where Midnight Unveiled left off. In the last two books Sasha had a bad habit of putting her own wants and needs first, but she eventually gets past that and reminded me of how I use to be. This series is definitely one filled with love, compassion on many levels, danger, and conflicts. Its one of the better series like this I have read in a long time. Sasha reminds me of me when I was younger and not many characters pull me in that way. Another wonderful read.
A great book! Part of a series and really should be read in order to follow along! Author skills are remarkable and shows as you're reading! This book to into the dept of it. It was attention holding and hard to put down! If you have read this yet, you're missing a great series!
