. . . Sure, you have some concept of a supreme being-but, is your god-notion, God? The one true God? The biblical God? The God who is? To anyone who has ears to hear, I simply say that it's time to open the Book and truly behold the dreadful holiness and terrifying awe of I AM. Certainly, it is long past time in this era of low-resolution preaching, denominational banality, and pervasive biblical illiteracy. For indeed, the Bible is unmistakably clear. . . "It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:31)
This book had good points. In today's world, the truth of the God of the Bible is watered down. Yes, He is a God of love, but He is also a God of wrath. Every knee will someday bow before Him. Everyone will be judged. This book describes the God of wrath seen in the Bible and ends with the good news of Jesus Christ. However, I did not like the style of writing the author used. It was very "in your face", and there were a few ideas that he presented that I questioned.
This is a much needed resource of a very neglected, but vitally important topic, the wrath of God. Jim delivers hard hitting truths in a candid way, with no apologies. Would that all believers speak of this attribute of God with such boldness and candor.
