Josh is happy being a beat cop in a small Vermont town. He has his life partner, Garrison, their dog, and a wide group of friends and family, even though he hasn't spoken to his blood relatives in years.

Then Josh gets called back home to Ohio right before Christmas, when his sister tracks him down to inform him that his father passed away weeks ago. He arrives in Ohio to find that the requirements of his father’s will regarding the family business have everyone in an uproar. Lucky for Josh, he has a live-in lawyer at hand. He just has to come up with a solution that satisfies everyone, including himself.

Sequel to Commitment, takes place six years after.

I waited so long to read this and it was so worth the wait. Two beautiful men in love making a life together,I loved it. Josh and Garrison were beautiful together and I loved the family they created for themselves made up of close friends and Garrison's family and of house one crazy dog. Wish it was longer.

A nice little story about a man who learns to depend more on his long-time lover when a family crisis hits.

I liked the description of Josh, who is the more hesitant of the two, as he needs to digest his father's death before he can really talk about it (even though he hasn't even spoken to him for eight years). Garrison is very patient, despite the fact that he knows Josh needs him he sits back and waits until Josh is ready to ask him for help with the inheritance.

Sweet, soft story of a father's mistake and leaning on the one you love to get deal with it.
