I have always been interested in plate tectonics ever since the National Geographic brought out the article on in their magazine in the 60s. Jon Erickon has described plate tectonics in an easily understood context. The only thing I could complain about is that some of the pictures are confusing to look at-- all are black and white and not very clear. But it is an easily read book.

Very well rounded textbook! Erickson touched on many aspects of the internal workings of our planet and even theorizing planet and moon techtonics within our solar system. For an older text i was surprised at how relevant the ideas and theories are today.
