“He took out his phone and started sending a message. There was a jolt of electricity. Trey was extracted.” Fifteen-year-old Trey has just moved to England from America. Struggling to fit in with his new life, everything changes when he is extracted to Anasius, an alternate world on the brink of war. In this new world, Trey and his friends find themselves pulled into a web of torture, betrayal and death. Facing the terrors and traumas of a one-sided war, there appears to be little hope. When tragedy strikes back home too, the group are forced to put their horror and haunting emptiness aside, and work together to summon the courageto fight – can life be drawn from the crucible of death?
How do i start with this book? EXTRACTED was a very interesting book. It definitely wasn’t bad at all. It was joyful, funny, and very depressing at times. I would say this book is probably 10 or 11+, it went through grief and war, which to me is a little heavy and at times it could get very confusing. Extracted was definitely more political in the world of Anasius and Natalia. I do wish it could be more personal. Every chapter went from Kia, Jason, Max, Zak, Joe, Marcia, Zika, and Trey’s adventures. And it could get a bit confusing. The author is definitely Christian, and very British. Once i started reading i was immersed. But it was a really long read for me for some reason. 😂 But i will probably continue this series. Thank you author Rich Castro!!! This book was unlike anything i have ever read and it is very underrated!!
This book was rich in Biblical truths but the writing in itself was terrible, there was like 8 main characters and everything was just summary paragraphs in a world that was not thoroughly described or lived in.
