Run, Baby, Run! opens in 1854 on a slave plantation in Augusta, Georgia. Protagonist Sarah, a Negro bastard child of the white plantation owner, and her mother flees from slavery. During their escape, her mother dies of untreated illnesses. Sarah meets Vampire Damon in the woods and is offered eternal life, freedom, and an opportunity to save her peers still in bondage.

An Unusual Love Affair is between a mortal and an immortal. They meet at an opera house, but she is unaware that he is a vampire. He mentally seduces her. She reluctantly accepts his offered so-called gift-of-life. The bliss begins to dull when she misses the accouterments of the mortal world. She straddles the divide and the fight is on.

Connecting is a contemporary paranormal love story. Mature adults meet and experience love at first sight. Both have been through bad marriages. Yet, she wants him in her life and invites him to move in with her. He refuses. She is embarrassed and they break up. He dies and she knows not why. During many haunting spiritual visits, he explains his refusal of her offer and confesses love for her, which drives her to distraction.

Marvelously mature author and essayist. Retired, greedy reader and researcher, fighting for women's rights, health care for seniors, and education of our young.

Retired since 2005. Dealing with a few "age-related" illnesses, but writing is my life and I'm glad about that.
