** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **

This continues where the last one left off almost...Rachel is infected by the New People..aka Zapheads...she is barely clinging to her humanity and finally makes her to her grandfathers house...and eventually the rest of the crew does too! There is more than meets the eye going on here and the Zaps are organizing, learning and they want Rachel...I dont know whats up...but I cant wait till the next one!!!

GOOD NARRATION AND STORY, I RECOMMEND!!!

The series is pretty predictable but I can’t stop reading for some reason.

This is the fourth highly entertaining book in the "After" series. What makes this book great is that you finally find out the end goal of the Zapheads. Are they even capable of having goals? Yes! They are and they do. We also learn more about what is happening to Rachel and why. I am addicting to this series, and I never thought I would be. Nicholson makes me care about the characters and I keep reading to find out what happens next. I listened to the Audible audio version narrated by Kevin Clay, and he does a great job with the narration. Great character differentiation, pacing, and ability to connect with the characters. Overall, a fun and exciting book, and I can't wait for the next one.

I would have liked to give this book 4 stars but it was lacking in certain areas compared to the other 3 books. That said the storyline is still interesting and intriguing and I will read book #5.

So, why only the 3 stars? There was a lot of repetition in this book; the characters seemed to repeat their thoughts over and over - we get it, Jorge didn't want to see dead kids! I found myself skim reading some paragraphs as my thoughts went, yeah yeah I know just get on with it. That said, with the repetition and fillers out the way, it was another page-turner and I can't wait to see how Scott ends this thrilling series.

I love this series! I've really enjoyed everything I've read by Scott Nicholson, and the After series is no exception. I generally enjoy the post-apocalyptic genre, and Nicholson's own take is fantastic. Fans of the genre will likely enjoy this series. Preppers may also find themselves at home, as Franklin Wheeler has spent the majority of his adult life prepping for some sort of doomsday scenario, and now he's living it.

I'm eagerly awaiting the release of book 5. In the meantime I plan to check out his Zapheads series.

[More like 2,5 stars] Although it has been a while since I read the first 3 novels of the series it was easy to remember the characters and to continue with the story. Which was captivating and kept me interested. But somehow I find the talking "babies" just a bit too weird and unbelievable. Yeah, coming from someone who does't have a problem believing in zombies that may sound a bit strange :-D So although the book was not really bad it was also not good enough to make me want to continue with the series. Maybe I'll do that later. Or not at all...

Another great After book

Devontay and Rachel are wonderful. You also have to love Grandpa Wheel we r and his bunker named Wheelerville. It's an awesome Zombie post-apocalyptic series that will keep you on edge.

Go now go...

What I am loving about the After series are the Zapheads, or the New People and we find out in Whiteout, are constantly evolving and changing. So their 'threat' to the survivors, or Old People, is never the same in each book. Next book, After #5 due out Jan 2015.

Whiteout After book 4

I am heartbroken and confused. This is a good thing, I immediately bought the next book. Usually I have an idea where a story it's going, I can't do that with this series, I am constantly second guessing myself, and ultimately always end up surprised.

Dommage.

After is an excellent series! I'm loving it so far. Scott Nicholson is a great author and Kevin Clay does a great narration. In this book, the zapheads are becoming more intelligent. They are learning to talk and becoming communal.

Great read

When I read a lot of books I usually start getting bored with the story by the end
Of the third book but I'm still able to keep interested in this series.

Pretty good

Starting to seem repetitive. Too much going on with the soldiers. Seemed like the same dilemma keeps occurring. Hope the next book changes it up a bit.

Still liking the series but getting a bit tired. Too much of the same old thing. Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, what's going to become of you.
