Dear Stormy

Rate this book
Ever since his wife's battle with cancer four years earlier, 36-year-old David Drayer has struggled with a sense of hopelessness-that life events are random and without meaning. His life becomes characterized by worry and routine. On the verge of seeing his marriage disintegrate, David discovers a child's watercolor picture, preserved in a finely handcrafted frame, in a secondhand store in the town of Porter's Wreck. Beneath the glass, a faded, handwritten tag reads 'Sunset at Beach 6, to Daddy from Stormy, August 7, 1939.' Surprised, because he has a daughter nicknamed Stormy, David buys the painting and later finds within the frame a hidden compartment containing five Christmas letters, all written by Stormy's father to her. This discovery, combined with subsequent events in David's life, compels him to find this Stormy in the hope of delivering the letters written so long ago. What he ultimately finds, however, challenges his beliefs and changes the course of his life forever. If you've ever longed to know your father's thoughts and dreams for you.if you've ever lost faith in God because of the suffering of a loved one.then this book is for you.
