The Marasenna are a broken race. Centuries of subterranean slavery has shattered their hope and their way of life; Against all odds, they remain strong in their resolve to see change.
Eldroth is the champion of his tribe, and by all means, the pride of his people. When visions of freedom fill his dreams, he must make the hardest decision of his Will he lead his people to freedom, or will he accept their fate?
A harrowing tale of loyalty and loss in the face of impossible odds. Join Eldroth in his attempt to regain the freedom of his tribe, and eventually his entire race in the first book of the Marasenna series!
I loved this book, dark, grim and a touch of gore. Perfect for any dark fantasy lovers. Also includes a bit of magic which I wasn’t expecting but fits very well.
This is definitely a unique story and I was drawn into the world pretty quickly. The fight scenes were my favorite part of the story they were very well written imo. It does include a good bit of violence so if you are squeamish it might not be for you lol.
This was a bit of a different read as I usually read in first person but this story was told in third person, it was still pretty easy to get into despite of that.
I can not wait to see what will happen with the Marasenna race and how they will adapt to the new world they are in and how they will be treated by others. Will Amy be Eldroths new love interest? How are they gonna free the rest of the Marasenna if they are separated? Will they continue their traditions they had within the tribe? I have so many questions lol I loved all of the characters too, Im looking forward to seeing how their individual stories progress throughout the series! Would definitely recommend to any dark fantasy reader.
