Viperess, a teenage snake girl, has been part of the renegades since birth. She has thought of nothing other than bringing justice to the land, and is willing to die for her mission. However, the primate forces have acquired a new weapon - the Dreamspell - which is the first magical item ever discovered on their world. Viperess manages to seize the weapon from them, but is unable to wield its incredible power. To her misfortune, a psychotic zebra soldier named Zebrix has managed to tap into the power of the Dreamspell and gain supernatural abilities.
