This political thriller revolves around the life of Queeny, a 40-year-old daughter of the chairman of a party in Indiana. She is caught in the tricky politics and beautiful romance that manipulates her in the book. Here, you can also see the rivalry among the siblings with her brother for persuasion of inheritance in the party. It is a definite thing that this will keep you on the edge throughout the reading journey. I like how the authors have made a complex and intriguing plot full of twists and turns in a lucid way with well-relatable characters that kept me engrossed in the story.

In this book, you will also get to see how that political rivalry can affect the lives of everyone that is involved along with the themes of greed and corruption with how they can lead to a person's downfall. You will realize that the character of Queeny is a very strong and independent personality who is not afraid to stand up and navigate the world of politics using her wit and knowledge.

Overall, Gone with the Windfall is a political thriller that will keep you entertained and is recommended if you like reading more about politics differently.

Pitted against the sibling rivalry of her brothers in pursuit of political inheritance in a small but vital party- the young congresswoman, Queeny Niti who is caught in the vise of tricky politics and engulfing romance has to manipulate her way up the corridors of power in Capitol Hill, Washington D.C.
The plot of the book takes the readers to Washington D.C., America. The book has scandals, revenge, scams and treachery. I must say, the book had a great plot that took readers on a rollercoaster ride and at the edge of their seats.
The characters of the book are somewhat similar to what I imagine people at the top to be: eccentric, self-centred, and ignorant. Queeny is an ambitious woman who is cheating on her husband with her colleague, not caring about her son. Andrew is another player in the game who is running scams and is knee deep into it. Saul is one of the members of the DPP and close to Queeny.
The writing is simple and well phrased. The author did a good job at writing the characters and making them the way they are. The story too, had a great potential and was treated with care.
I did find a few disparities, sadly. Queeny's siblings were named Hitler and Lenin, and these names were inappropriate, at the very least. The punctuations fell off at various points which obstructed with the well written book. Finally, I personally felt that the book could have done well without the poems as they did not feel like written by a forty year old.
A book that dives deeper into the clandestine world of corruption hidden well, Gone With A Windfall is a great read.

This story revolves around the female protagonist Queeny. She was the daughter of the Democratic Progressive Party in Indiana, USA. The story shows the political affairs and how the American people respond to the upheavals. The book cover matches the plotline but it could be designed better. Queeny was a bold character from being a pampered daughter and later facing harsh political scandals. Her extramarital relationship in the middle of political elections created a blunder in her life. I enjoyed reading the last few chapters the most where Queeny met Andrew. Her writing was good which she did in the pastime. Title was justified throughout the story. The writing style of the Author is good and engaging. Some of his works have women protagonists and politics. Corruption was one of the major themes of this book. The font size was perfect and this was an engaging read. This thriller kept me hooked till the end.

GONE WITH A WINDFALL is a political thriller that explores the consequences of a scandalous affair between a poet senator and a telecom secretary. Queeny, the daughter of a party chairman in Indiana, has to face the challenges of sibling rivalry, corruption, and public scrutiny as she tries to climb the ladder of power in Washington D.C. The book is full of suspense, drama, and romance, and it keeps the reader hooked till the end. The authors have done a great job of creating a realistic and captivating plot with well-developed characters. The book also touches upon the themes of greed, betrayal, and loyalty in the world of politics. The only drawback of the book is the title and the cover, which could have been more catchy and appealing. Gone with a Windfall is a book which revolves around the political life of protagonist aka Queeny who is 40 years old. The story starts from her conversation with her friend which she always find her escape but really? The book has shown some strained relationships with her husband, her son and ofcourse her sibling as well. While she really looks upto her father for anything but the tension between them is also evident.

GONE WITH A WINDFALL is the portrayal of a political affair in high places. The summer of 2012 finds Queeny, the favorite 40-year-old poet senator- daughter of the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) headquartered in Indiana, USA, rather piqued. The author has amalgamated many aspects of protagonist life while brewing the political drama which keeps the reader till the edge of the seat and compel you to flip through the pages. The characters have been added in the book as story progress however I find the characters could have been more descriptive which can help the reader to build the connect and make story more cohesive. The narrative of the book is simple which doesn't let the reader lack its interest in the book. The cover and title could have been better as well.

Th summary of the book intrigued me as it promised a political thriller with mind boggling controversial turns. This book did not disappoint. The storyline revolves around covert affairs in political circles and how the American public and the pulse of the bureaucracy responds to the upheavals.

The central protagonist is Senator Queeny, the pampered daughter of the chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party. She got mired in bribery controversy on the kickbacks received from Telecom Secretary in the US Government and her extra-marital affair spells political doom.
The author has been able to weave a complex tale of political maneuvering, with Senator Queeny navigating a treacherous path marked by bribery controversies and extra-marital affairs. The plot is intricately layered, with each revelation adding a new layer of suspense. The exploration of power dynamics and the consequences of political decisions creates a compelling narrative that kept me hooked from start to finish.

Senator Queeny's character is brilliantly portrayed, from a pampered daughter to a central figure facing the harsh realities of political scandals. The author skillfully captures the nuances of her character, highlighting her ruthless ambition, her attitude of negligence towards her family, and her casual nonchalance at making herself her top priority. The supporting cast adds depth to the narrative, each character contributing to the overall intrigue and suspense.
This book is a gripping political thriller that masterfully combines intrigue, scandal, and suspense. The author’s storytelling prowess kept me captivated throughout, and the thrill I felt while unraveling the web of political secrets is unparalleled.

The book is an inviting read that takes readers through the thrilling corridors of American politics. Queeny Niti is a 40-year-old poet who has a senatorial position. She finds herself at the epicenter of a whirlwind where she has to combine both family legacy and political ambition with a forbidden romance. The novel scores in this regard for being able to smoothly combine genres. This is a political thriller with the intrigue to keep you guessing, but it also has family drama and other light touches of romance added to it.

Queeny is a diversified character. She is a headstrong and a bright person, but also a lady with flaws. Her desire for power makes her go on a dirty road which is full of corruption and lies. The novel does not flinch away from the grimy side of politics, exposing the corridors towards which people may travel to attain power. Abraham expertly illustrates the cutthroat nature of politics whereby Juniper fights hard to stop her manipulative brothers from self-interested transactions and secret scandals.

But while the characters are relatable, they are also somewhat flat. Aunty's dilemma and inner problems are recognizable, despite her actions may be doubtful. The supplementary characters, including her domineering brothers and an unsolved Andrew character, also deepen the plot.

However, pacing could have been improved and the poetry was somewhat in excess.

In short, the story "Gone with a Windfall" is an exciting and pensive kind of book to read. It’s a must-read for the fans of political thrillers with good female leads and full of twists. Through the novel, we get the chance to see the dark side of American politics, and at the same time also get the opportunity to explore themes like ambition, family relationships and moral dilemmas.

Gone With a Windfall by Markose Abraham does exactly that. This book is about a Queeny Niti, who's a Senator and the daughter of the chairman of the Democratic party in the US. She is also the Organising Secretary of the Women's Wing of the party. One can imagine the kind of power this character holds. And Queeny does her best to exploit this power.

Not only is she a terrible mother to her son, she's also a cheating wife to her devoted husband. She does whatever she wishes to, backed by her father's support and money, but falls short to sibling rivalry and her father favouring her incompetent brothers. She engages in corruption that ultimately leads to her demise.

This book promises to be an interesting political thriller, and does a really good job in bringing out the workings of political parties and politics in the US. This is indeed an US politics 101 book.

While the book does a good job engaging the readers, I felt that the characters were a bit too tacky for my taste. In the sense that I know Queeny has been introduced as a person who is also a poet, I felt that there was no need for her to write a poem in every alternate chapters. Similarly, the character Andrew who's also a fellow Senator and the guy Queeny cheats with felt like a puppy obsessively in love with Queeny even though he can see how horrible of a person she is to her family. And there's this other guy who's vying for Queeny's attention.

This book would have been even better if the characters were a bit more subtle considering that it's already a good political thriller.

My Views - The book is set in the USA in 2012 and portrays the political affairs in high places. The main protagonist Queeny Niti is a 40-years old aspiring poet and is the senator-daughter of the Chairman of the Democratic Progressive Party also known as DPP, headquartered in Indiana. She is in a sibling rivalry with her brothers Hitler and Lenin in pursuit of political inheritance where she got caught up in the whirlwind of tricky politics and engulfing romance. But being an intelligent woman, she tries to manage her family as well her career but failed to do so and engaged in corruption which ultimately leads to her demise.

The book portrays Queeny as an self-reliant, empowered and intelligent woman but also on the other hand she cheats on her husband with her boyfriend, Andrew and she doesn't even care about her own son. She doesn't even hesitate to do what's best for her career by any means necessary which makes her go on the dirty road of corruption. All the characters in this book are somewhat power greedy and corrupt and will do anything and everything to gain what they want which is ultimately the nature of politics and some politicians.

The author has brilliantly penned down the nature of American politics, both good and bad sides of it. We get to know in depth about politics and it's terminologies. The narration is quite good and engaging but sometimes is slow paced and the poems in every other situation is somewhat unnecessary.

But , overall it's a good political thriller and politics enthusiasts might actually like it.

Queeny finds herself getting closer to Andrew Muttoo a businessman with aspirations to become a senator himself as he gets further estranged from her husband Arakon and son Rodney.
Soon Andrew becomes the telcome secratory in US government and together with Queeny become the power couple and come in limelight but it's their greed which will lead to their downfall.

MY THOUGHTS
Gone with a windfall is an engaging political thriller. The author has done a great job in detailing about the working inside political parties and how they lobby about to get What they want.
I was invested to read about how the corruption at highest level works and the length to which they go about to hide it and make billions out of it and finally when the wrong doings are out in open.
It was slow burn political drama with a few things being monotonous but that last 1/3rd made up for it giving it a satisfactory end.
