Turning aside a promising career as a top model, Katie's fourteen-year-old sister, Jewel, decides she wants to be like Katie--even though she doesn't know the first thing about acting.
Probably the best book out of the series. Though I wasn't kind to it in my review on All That Glitters #4 Love Lights. I've never been a fan of the series as it is virtually unbelievable in describing typical teens as actresses on a soap opera. It's scrubbed cleaner than Sweet Valley High, despite the discrepancy in their ages. At one point the girls are 16 another they're 18. No matter the action is junior high-ish. This one however deserves some kudos for spotlighting one of their few unique characters Jewel Nolan - Katie's fiesty little sister who has landed a small part on the soap much to Katie's chagrin. While Katie sees Jewel as an annoying little tag-a-long with All-about-Eve ambitions , all Jewel is , is excited to share in her older sisters thrilling job. Favorite moment is when Jewel tells her friends that she's going to be on the soap - she walks into her classroom as the boys start singing - She's a brick house! Fun , fluffy , harmless.
