The 90th Kill

Rate this book
A thriller about America, about how its political culture and its gun culture are intertwined. Brecon never wanted to be anything other than an artist, but family tragedy put an end to that. Forced into the army, he became a legendary sniper in Iraq. Now, mentally scarred, a loner living hand-to-mouth on the street, he's lured into an assassination conspiracy by the promise of revenge against one of the abusers who destroyed his sister's innocence. The conspirators are organised and determined. Are they acting for the greater good? In the end, as the target is revealed to Brecon and their manipulation turns to outright blackmail, it doesn't matter - all that matters is their absolute ruthlessness. Can Brecon be saved? By art? By the discovery that his family hasn't been totally destroyed? By love?
