Dangerous Weapons: The Caro-Kann

Rate this book
Do you need to freshen up your chess openings?

Stun your opponents with new and exciting ideas!

Dangerous Weapons is a series of opening books which supply the reader with an abundance of hard-hitting ideas to revitalize his or her opening repertoire.

In this book, three opening specialists team up and take a contemporary look at the Caro-Kann, one of the most popular chess openings. Instead of analysing the well-trodden main lines they concentrate on fresh or little-explored variations, selecting a wealth of ‘dangerous’ options for both colours. Whether playing White or Black, a study of this book will leave you confident and fully-armed, and your opponents running for cover!

State-of-the-art coverage of the Caro-Kann
Packed with original ideas and analysis
Ideal weapons to shock your opponents

I have several other books in this series and they are all my go-to books once I'm bored with an opening and want to try some completely risky moves to get an exciting game. These are great books because they explore in depth the lines that most opening books ignore. Had some of my funnest games trying out moves from books in this series. You can catch an opponent off-guard and get spectacular wins and you can also blow-up quickly and find out why some of these moves are not the main line. Fun stuff either way.
