Ιντριγκαδόρικη θεματολογία, απόδοση μέτρια. Αυτό το θέμα και με αυτήν την εξέλιξη θα μπορούσε να δημιουργήσει ένα διαμάντι στο αστυνομικό μυθιστόρημα. Τελικά δημιούργησε απλά ένα συμπαθητικό βιβλίο.
