The Probsts have traveled to the Philippines on church planting missions. John was part of a small film crew, shooting a mission project in Thailand. Patty is involved in Christian education. They started researching and writing the Strangers and Pilgrims Series in 2000; it will include seven books. The currently reside in Southern California.

This so far has been one of my favorite books. When my dad wrote it I think he wrote it for me. I related so much to the character it made sense to me as to why he dedicated it to me as well as a few other sisters and why.
