This novelette explores the tenuous connection between an American GI who spent a year of service in Saigon VN and a two-year-old orphan child who came to believe the man was her father. Central to the narrative is the child's-eye experiencing of a horrific occurence, historically accurate, which took place a short time before the Fall of Saigon in April 1975...an event which should never be forgotten worldwide, in the annals of that doleful chapter called the Viet Nam War.
