From an early age Miranda Brock has always loved fantasy and adventure everything. Since she doesn't live in a world of enchanting powers, mythical beasts, and things unbelievable she has decided to write about them. (Although, if you happen to see a dragon flying around, do tell her.) Born in southern Illinois, where she still resides with her husband and two children, she grew up running through the woods, playing in creeks, and riding horses. What started out as writing poetry grew into short stories and eventually led to her first novel, Souls Discovered. Miranda lives in the country where she finds inspiration in the simplicity and beauty around her. With the help of a ridiculous amount of coffee and some good music she writes whenever she gets a chance.

This is the second book in this series, and I think it’s better than the first. First off, I have to tell you that the end was just so shocking. The identity of Fox is revealed, and I was blown away. I probably shouldn’t have been, but I was completely on the wrong track. The rest of the book was an action-packed, well-written adventure with romance thrown in. I’m not normally a big fan of RH, but this has enough suspense and adventure that I don’t mind it at all. If you like any of the above, you need to give this series a try; it’s a great way to spend an afternoon. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Another page-turner from Miranda Brock!

Cal and the boys are back and ready to kick some serious ass. We once again see the inside of lullaby prison and the horrors it hides. Trust is betrayed there and so much more.

The demonologist gets a name and a reveal (and what a reveal it is!) We also encounter a new bigger badder guy known only as the Shadow. He runs the show from a distance but you can’t help but feel his evil touch on every bad guy on the page.

I loved getting to see the author’s take on wolf shifters, pack dynamics, and what it’s like to be an outsider within their territory.

The RH aspect of the series is beginning to become more clear with a mysterious explanation. I’m looking forward to reading more of their story!

An amazing continuation in the series! I loved this book even more than the first and felt the action, twists, and romance were all heightened. I can't get enough of shifter stories, so I enjoyed the extra time and focus of this particular case. I loved seeing things heat up with a couple of the guys and learning more about each of them. I do feel two are still distant and I'd have liked even more background on the guys, but I'm hopeful that's part of the slow-burn charm. There was also a ton of action that kept me glued to the pages. I'm left wanting more and looking forward to the next one!

This was one exciting book! Going back to Lullaby and then Mr. Castadena is an evil man. The task that they were assigned this time pulled at my heart strings. Glad for an happy ending on this task. A bit shocking at the end of who the hooded figure was but almost not. Cannot wait for the next book!!!

Another Kickass Book

If the first one was amazing (spoiler alert: it was) this one was... unbelievable. All the snark and fun and action of the first book, without feeling repetitive. And the transition of the team and their interactions is so fun, so natural. Seriously, dying for the 3rd.
